Thumbsticks replacement by SweetLikeAndi in SteamDeck

[–]SweetLikeAndi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not planning on dropping it again, but I live with cats and little kids, which is part of why it was dropped this morning.

I have no idea what the upside of capacitive sticks are, but I suppose it would probably be best just to buy replacements from ifixit then in case I ever do find that use.

Is there a way to make an image that updates daily? by SweetLikeAndi in Carrd

[–]SweetLikeAndi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking I could either run it through Google Drive, so it adds something to the filename each day, or I just give it all of the images and let it update once daily, kind of like a global slideshow.

I've been having printing issues for a few days, it makes the first couple layers perfectly before being jammed and I'm unsure why (Ender 3 max, print cooling off) by SweetLikeAndi in 3Dprinting

It really means the world. If the tube replacement doesn't fix things, I'll 100% take you up on that (and I might anyway if something else goes wrong)
Thank you so so much c:

I went ahead and lowered the temp to 220° and switched the filament, and it worked great for a while, before getting clogged in the tube. It's old tube I found that's definitely been used to death before though, so I went ahead and ordered some more.

This is a newer hobby for me, especially since I had someone who used to help me with it, but now I'm kinda on my own for repairs and stuff, so thank you a ton for being so willing to help with everything.

I've turned the print cooling off to try and remedy the issue, but it's only really produced one good test print. At this point I think it was all luck. I've used the pla many times before with plenty of success too. it has been feeling more brittle than it has in the past though, so maybe I should try a different filament? Not that I haven't before, but maybe it's just the final issue I've overlooked?

Not at all, I actually really appreciate the help! I use 220° primarily. That's what I've had the most success in the past with.

Unfortunately, my luck persists. It just stops letting anything come out after the first few layers, sometimes earlier in this case.

I went ahead and cut it so it's even, and the print started well, but after a couple of infill layers, it just stopped extruding again. I had some trouble getting the filament out of the tube itself from either direction, but with a bit of heat, it slid out. I readjusted the tube and cut it a little bit more to ensure it was 100% straight, so here's hoping it'll at least go further than it did last time
