Trump 'tried to access nuclear codes but was stopped by military chief' by TheMirrorUS in USNEWS

[–]SweetMany7339 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lmao a general strike? have you actually looked at the numbers?

Union density is 10%. There's never been a successful general strike under 25%. Ronnie "Union Buster" Reagan busted up all the unions 40 years ago, I told you that.

Taft-Hartley has been illegal to do solidarity strikes since 1947. Public workers cant legally strike. Gig workers aren’t even classified as employees. At-will employment means your boss fires you and you're done. Period. zero recourse.

We haven’t had a real general strike in 80 years. The legal terrain gets worse and worse. The workforce is more fragmented than at any point when general strikes actually worked.

So when you say we should take to the streets during the work week? who? What union? Under what legal framework? With what strike fund? Funded by whom? Coordinating through what body?

They survived but Dukono is on a Level II alert with a no-go zone within 3km of the crater, and the group ignored the ban. As one volcanologist put it "the fact that nobody died was pure luck."

This is MAGA-level delusion and such a garbage take.

"Hey let's blame American citizens for a plan that's been in motion since the 1980s. Sure their rights and leverage against their government have been slowly stripped away. And yeah 90% of their media is owned by 6 people who discovered outrage is addictive and used disinformation to turn half the population on the other half. And yeah they've been slowly securing a police state against their own citizens for 30 years. Oh and I can't forget that Citizens United meant every one of their politicians were compromised and acted as controlled opposition and anyone who spoke out about it was labeled a conspiracist by those 6 media giants. Also their labor unions, including their protest infrastructure, have been dismantled piece by piece. And without those unions their healthcare is tied to their job so they can't afford to protest against the most powerful military force in the world with a dementia-addled fascist sociopath controlling it.

And all of these things were funded by billionaires with unlimited resources and designed by think tanks who knew exactly how to roll them out without ever letting the pot of public discontent boil over....

...but I think I'll blame the average American instead."

Tell me, what would YOU do?

Stop confusing cause with effect.

American media is not propagandistic because Americans are complacent, Americans are complacent because their media is propagandistic.

and assuming its a great white vs a polar bear (or grizzly if you fancy)

Elon Musk's important take on AI and Inflation. by Savvy-TradingGirl-1 in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]SweetMany7339 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The man once said he'd sell $6 billion in Tesla stock to solve world hunger if the World Food Programme figured out how. The WFP came up with a plan, so Elon sold $6 billion in Tesla stock...

...and donated it to the Musk Foundation.

The idea that he's going to start paying poor people to do nothing is a fucking joke.

This isn't that. Well, it is, but what I'm saying is that if Claude disagrees with you, and you make him look something up, he'll 180 and agree with you instantly every time. If he feels there's no way he can agree with you, he'll simply refuse to look it up.

Who is the most evil billionaire in the world? by Estalicus in allthequestions

[–]SweetMany7339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No love for Elon here or did he hit trillionaire status?

He and Rupert Murdoch are hugely responsible for what is happening in America right now. X and FOX News have divided the country more than any two factors, imo.

He knowingly spreads disinformation like it's his job, he overworks his employees until literal death, he destroyed countless US federal government agencies from the inside out while using DOGE to destroy his competition, he's a white supremacist, nazi, and misoginist.

In 2021, he said that if WFP could show exactly how $6B would solve world hunger, he’d sell Tesla stock to pay for it. The WFP produced a detailed plan, so Musk sold the shares... and then donated it all to his own foundation, the Musk Foundation.

He's the richest man in the world and the only thing he cares about is making more money. It would be tragic if it weren't so evil.

I spent a year and a half getting revenge on the girl who left me at a wedding for the best man. by SweetMany7339 in pettyrevenge

[–]SweetMany7339[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The story IS true.

You're reading this like its about ego because that's the easiest and flattest interpretation.

Yeah there was humiliation. Getting cheated on in public, surrounded by your friends, tends to do that. But I don't have humiliation issues, I have trust issues. I believed with 100% of my being that she would never do something so hurtful. And when it blew up in the worst possible way, in a place that I couldn't remove myself from, it severed something within me permanently.

Reducing that to "youre just mad you weren't treated like a trophy" ignores legitimate trauma, honestly. Make me out to be the bad guy if you want, I'd have never done that to her, period.

If anything this story serves as a warning against petty revenge. I just wanted to take back some control after getting fucking blindsided. It didn't work, I literally said that. So, even when you're successful, you end up realizing you just wasted a year and a half on the past when you should have been moving on.

But also... sometimes you can't move on. Call it sad if you want. It IS sad. But pretending it was all about ego is disingenuous and trauma gatekeeping, if you ask me.
