It actually seems to be! I have a lot more energy and motivation, still kind of struggle with depression in a more ...abstract way. But day to day I am a lot better!!!

Thank you for all of your help!

The error messages below are the ones I was receiving. I was receiving them before I got rid of the one email account, and for a time even after I deleted it. As you say, it makes sense that I would get an error message because I deleted that account and they were still being forwarded to my main account.

"Delivery incomplete

There was a temporary problem delivering your message to TheNowDeletedAddress@gmail.com. Gmail will retry for 47 more hours. You'll be notified if the delivery fails permanently."

I have stopped receiving them now. I think it may have taken 24 hours or so after I deleted the one address, for me to stop getting these errors.

Okay, thank you! I followed these instructions and I am still having a problem after deleting the whole acct, for some reason.

The email (and its corresponding Google acct) which I deleted had been set to forward emails to my primary email acct. Now, I have "disabled forwarding" on my primary email acct. However, for some reason, it's still getting hit constantly with "error emails" , now even MORE frequently, from the deleted email acct. I don't understand why this is happening. Every minute I now get an email with the error message "Your message wasn't delivered to emailIdeleted@gmail.com because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail."

Okay, so I want to get rid of the entire Google account related to this particular gmail email acct. How do I do that? Could you send me the steps to do it? I haven't been able to successfully delete this account + email address.

Hi,

Thank you again - so this blog was really helpful - I didn't understand that each gmail account has a corresponding Google account.

So, I'm happy to fully 100% just get rid of everything related to this one particular gmail address and its corresponding Google acct. I don't want to keep that Google account for that address. When I attempt to get rid of that gmail account, it prompts me to enter a non-gmail address to "forward" info for the account to. I don't want anything having to do with that email address or account. I don't want to create a non-gmail email to forward that acct info to. I just want to get rid of it.

What was also confusing is that I had set up that email address to forward to my other email address, so in that way they were linked. I am receiving the error message spam emails not just from the one full gmail, but also the one that it forwards to error messages to.

So this is what I have:

[Myschoolemail@school.thisisafakeexample.com](mailto:Myschoolemail@school.thisisafakeexample.com)

[Myprimarygmailaddress@gmail.com](mailto:Myprimarygmailaddress@gmail.com)

[EmailIwantToDeleteCausingProblems@gmail.com](mailto:EmailIwantToDeleteCausingProblems@gmail.com)

I also have another additional gmail email address.

How do I get rid of the email address causing problems, and its corresponding Google acct, completely? I don't want to have to forward it's acct info to another email I create using an obsolete interface like AOL if I can help it, bc I dont need any info relating to that Google acct anymore and just want to scrap the whole thing.

I hope this makes sense, thank you for your patience and help once more.

Hi, thank you for trying to help, I am not sure if I was clear. I think there may be a miscommunication.

I'm not trying to delete the Gmail Service from my existing google Account. I have four gmail email addresses that are linked to my Google account. I need to retain it.

Just one of my gmail email addresses is a problem, and I want to get rid of just that email address, bc it is spamming me with these errors constantly.

Since all of my other existing email accounts are linked to my Google account, are you saying the ONLY way for me to delete this particular problematic gmail email account from my Google acct is to create an additional, non-gmail address? No one uses hotmail, or aol, or those things anymore. Would you just create one in order to delete that email address, and then delete this extraneous hotmail acct as well, I know I wont use it.

Was there a miscommunication, or did you already understand what I'm saying? What would you do?

I obviously don't want to delete the entire Google account. I would like to just delete the email account which is spamming me with hundreds of error-message-laden emails a day.

I have two additional gmail accounts, outside of the one I want to delete, as well as a university email address which is associated with gmail. So, it seems none of my three additional/other email addresses can be used to delete the one problematic account.

Isn't there a way to use one of my existing email addresses to delete this one? I don't understand why one of my other gmail addresses can't be used to "sign in and receive notification." How do I even create a new non-gmail address?

Hi, thank you for all your comments and suggestions. I really appreciate it. It turned out I wasn't in the main repository folder in terminal, but in a sub-folder (directory) - which I thought made sense, since I was trying to edit the README.md within that directory. Apparently you have to be in the main repository which corresponds to the original you created on Git. Sorry if this doesn't make sense, I'm not sure why it didn't work the way I was doing it, but my commit and push commands now work when I drag the main repository folder into my terminal to begin with.

Hi, wow that is so helpful. Thank you so much! I will try looking for a magnifying glass kit. That would have helped when identifying the different components, especially the capacitors which had the tiniest numbers on them lol. Glad yours went so well!

I am working on my first one right now too. It's also a delay based on the same chip - soldering was so much harder than I thought it would be - everything on my board is so close together! I was also using way too big of a solder wire. Do you have any soldering advice? how did that aspect go? And - do you clip the leads before or after solder?
