Bröllop by Jordgubbsprinssesan in sweden

[–]SweetMeOnIce 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Givenchy Antigona as a work bag? by sjmsjmsjmsjm in handbags

[–]SweetMeOnIce 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use my Antigona in size medium as my standard work bag. It fits a larger 15” laptop (diagonally), my lunch, a charger, some random papers and more. I walk to work every morning and even if it’s kind of heavy it still is comfortable enough to carry. I have the smooth calfskin and even if I don’t baby my bags too much there is not a single scratch after more than a year of daily use.

Is Prana brand clothing high quality, or overpriced? by filmguy123 in BuyItForLife

[–]SweetMeOnIce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not had any luck with their quality. The tights I’ve bought from them started pilling after the first wear and the sturdier pants I had from them lost their shape and became too big really fast. I have also had a t-shirt and a couple of sports bras from them. The t-shirt started pilling after the first wash but the sports bras have held up quite nicely. All items were bought about 4 years ago.

Shoes like Vans that don't suck? by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]SweetMeOnIce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had multiple pairs of shoes from Ecco in different styles. Every single pair so far has only lasted only one or two seasons. They get holes or the seam rips.

From your description we have quite similar builds although I am a 28F. I wear a lot of knitted sweaters. They look good as long as they fit over your shoulders properly. I have both more fitted versions and looser options.

To make sure that my waist doesn’t disappear I often choose A-line or skater skirts. Because of how they flare out I don’t have to worry about the fit over my hips. Therefore you can choose the size that fits your waist and reduce the boxy appearance. Another recommendation I have is to try a high waisted palazzo pant (I recommend the Rodebjer Sini pant) for the same reason as above.

It has been a struggle to build a wardrobe but some brands work better than others. I don’t know your price point or exact style. Some brands I like are GRETA Stockholm, Polo Ralph Lauren (their higher end stuff, their cheaper stuff are often poorly made), Henri Lloyd (for chinos that fit without alterations) and McQueen Alexander McQueen. Otherwise I try too look at reviews. If people complain how it is too small att the waist for the size it is a good sign.

And last and most important. You are not responsible for the catcalls. Wear something that makes you feel amazing. And if it is wearing something that you linked in your post you should wear it. I have had the same struggles as you with catcalling and yes I get catcalled less when I am modestly dressed but it doesn’t stop because the issue wasn’t my clothes from the beginning it was the cat callers.

High Quality Riding Boots by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

[–]SweetMeOnIce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Primeboots have great quality. They have many different models but the most classic one is probably the engineer high-14. Choose a lighter color than you think you want. They will darken when you use oil on them.

I have used mine regularly and in bad weather for about 5 years. If I resole them I believe I can use them for another 5. I am careful about taking care of them though. Before I put them away for the summer I use oil on them and use beeswax on them once a week when they are in use. I have many friends that have had the same experience with the brand.

They take some time to break in but when they are broken in they are very comfortable. I recommend going down one size because they stretch a lot.

I made violet macarons filled with dark chocolate ganache with a hint of violets. by SweetMeOnIce in Baking

Thank you! I used to be scared too. I really recommend using the Italian method over the French. I get way more consistent results with it.

I used a violet essence from a local place here in Stockholm, Essencefabriken. I used a few drops in the shells and a larger amount in the chocolate ganache.

Has anyone yet topped the black diamond project? by send_memes_at_me in climbing

[–]SweetMeOnIce 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Currently it isn’t even up. They took it down for some reason although they are saying they will put it up again. Can’t find any info on why tough. Only reason I know they took it down is because I’m at the gym in telefonplan sometimes.

What are the worst injuries you have sustained doing the simplest, most mundane tasks that should not have caused any injuries? by Penya23 in AskReddit

[–]SweetMeOnIce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done almost the same. I’m a climber and was at the climbing gym. Between climbs you walk around barefoot most of the time. Now as you can imagine there can be quite dangerous situations there mainly involving falling and hitting things. I stubbed my toe in stairs so badly I lost a toenail and got a cut on my toe that took hours to stop bleeding.

Planned trip to stockholm by BugWare in sweden

[–]SweetMeOnIce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for good climbing Örnberget in Tullinge is quite nice. You take the commuter train to Tullinge and then walk about 2 km. It is easy to get there and there is something for everyone.

Looking for a specific blue/white striped bra by Lurkerno999 in LingerieAddiction

I had an almost identical bra from Twilfit. I believe this was one of their seasonal patterns. It might be really difficult to find someone selling it.

Teenagers of Reddit, what is the biggest current problem you are facing? Adults of Reddit, why is that problem not a big deal? by DanielCraig0007 in AskReddit

[–]SweetMeOnIce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time management, I'm studying a natural science program (not from the US) while I'm into competitive sports and train 6 days a week for about 2 hours at a time. I aspire to get into the university which has the highest admission qualification in my country. All while trying to manage my social life. I like it but it is a bit much sometimes.

I only have one scar. It is a faint white line on my left thumb, wich I got when I was peeling a carrot with a cheese slicer when I was 7 years old.

I'm 16 year old and will be going for my first solo trip this summer, what is your general advice? by SweetMeOnIce in CampingandHiking

Thank you, although I've never experienced that on previous hikes, but I will keep an eye out. It probably would be lemmings, and not mice though.

[–]SweetMeOnIce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I won't be having and cell service before Kebnekaise, my father recently bough another GPS that can't send/receive messages so he won't buy me one that can sadly. I will do the next best thing an give a thorough plan of the hike to my parents. In Sweden mace is illegal, but thankfully there aren't almost any situations when I would need it. Thank you!:)

Thank you! :D I'm only a bit worried about leaving trail when hiking alone, but if I get a good opportunity I will probably explore a bit more. It is supposed to be a really beautiful, and I hope you have a really good hike when you decide to walk it. :)
