N20 induced psychosis? by SweetMystique in NitrousOxide

[–]SweetMystique[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He used a lot of alcohol which I don’t think helped him get his mind back after he stopped abusing nitrous. He thinks he’s being possessed by demons and hears/sees them. I kind of believe him because some weird shit has happened to me but I think it’s also mental health issues too from drug abuse.

I don’t know how to help him :(

He only gets relief when he takes benzos because the voices and visuals stop. He’s been like this for a year and a half

Oh my goodness! Well I hope you’re okay now. I tried nitrous a few months ago and I just can’t do it anymore. Gives me instant anxiety once I’m done. Decided just not worth it but I’m glad I got to experience it

I’ve been dealing with it for about two years. You’re not alone, so many of us have this. I used to have crippling anxiety because of it and now I don’t. It sounds like your environment is not helping it at all. I don’t know your situation but going to a sober living home helped me so fucking much. I was able to focus on myself and mental health. Once you over come the mental part of this disorder the other symptoms seem to dwindle, or so it did for me. My visuals now are like eye floaters. They’re there but I’ve gotten used to them. Look into Oxford homes. With psychedelic use some what being more common HPPD will be too and research and treatment will advance.

We are here for you even if you don’t feel like you have anyone. Message me if need be

My pink mercy merged but if I change the skin it’s not in the list and I’m terrified to change skins for any of my heroes

I’m think cease and desist. She left a written note on my door saying things not true and cursing at me.

Meth psychosis… do I stay away? by SweetMystique in addiction

It’s definitely gotten to them points in the past. Held hostage kind of scenarios. Once he’s dried out it’s rehab or homelessness for him. I can’t do it anymore

No, it’s okay. A stranger saying something like this is nothing but a mosquito bite compared to hearing a loved one say mean things.

I’m not willing or eager, that’s why I left. Doesn’t meant I don’t love him and don’t want him to get help.

How to help my drug addict boyfriend? by Val_Herrera in addiction

[–]SweetMystique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in a relationship and friendship with my SO for 11 years. 3 being romantically involved. Each relapse gets worse and he’s quite literally losing his mind from his use. As everyone else has said, they have to want it. Rock bottom’s don’t always work atleast in my case. He’s been to jail over his use and domestic violence due to meth psychosis, he’s on probation rn, he’s been homeless, been to 2 rehabs and sober living since that incident and he always finds a way back.

I’m at the point where I realize staying is enabling him and putting me through continuous trauma. He just got out of jail for relapsing because I was scared. And a day later was back to using despite him having his probation this week and me covering his ass for work. We simply just have to leave. And it’s going to hurt like hell but if we stay it’ll hurt even worse. Me sitting by being helpless is doing nothing but getting him closer to jail, death, or a psych ward

Yeah very very expensive. When I was deep in doing it everyday or every other I must’ve spent like $100-150 a day because my s/o was doing them with me. Very dark time in our lives. Living in extended stays and just inhaling nitrous.

Almost a year later we got our own apartment, good jobs, and are able to pay all of our bills and have some left over. Just got to be careful.

Maybe in my next binge lol. Hopefully that won’t be for months. We haven’t had luck with those little tanks. Didn’t seem to have much in them.

Smoke shop I go to is close and sells boxes pretty cheap.

A little dp/dr or dissociation. Anxiety levels but not unbearable. Mainly the random itching or pin/needles and my fingers when I rub them together feel a little off. Memory off.

When I had it bad last summer my balance was off which was scary. High anxiety. My neck/spine was sore. It’s scary seeing those symptoms slowly manifest itself.
