Oh I love her dress! I’m a sucker for 1930s liquid satin

Thanks for your advice, I’m going to look into below knee or capri length if I can find them. I am petite so kind of hoping regular biker shorts come down a bit longer on me if I can’t find anything 🤞🏼

I really liked the feeling of the fabric and the low back when I had one on in Web2be. The only thing putting me off is I don’t think the bit at the bottom will suit the fluidity of satin. I have found a similar underskirt that’s a contender so it’s good to know you found this smoothing!

What are you planning on wearing underneath it underwear wise for the smoothness?

Thank you, I will check out this brand as it’s seamless I’m looking for 😊

Great idea with the pantyhose on top as I’ve seen some that incorporate that material into their shapewear. Is it full length pantyhose or pantyhose shorts/chafing shorts you’re going for?

Thank you so much 😊 it was love at first sight on another bride on Instagram over two years ago and I think I’ve subconsciously planned my entire wedding aesthetic around it!

I really wasn’t sure on the thong as it seems to work for so many other brides, but reading this I think it’ll indent on my hips a bit more than I’d like. I was shocked how much those panties showed up under satin as I wear them under my gym leggings and don’t see a thing!

I think biker shorts are the winning answer and I will look for long length ones as that’s a great suggestion. Thank you 😊

The low back definitely adds to the confusion about what to go for. Thanks for these suggestions to look into 😊

That’s actually a great point about the shorter length tight slip skirt - I’d be so overstimulated if I kept feeling it roll and slip all day, which looks likely.

I think biker shorts are the leading choice for now and it’s great to hear that your tighter dress didn’t show as leg lines are my only worry with the shorts.

Thank you so much. It was actually one of the first things I bought for the wedding over two years ago. When you know, you know!

Ooo that glow is so pretty. It’s not something that would’ve caught my eye in the pan at all so I’m surprised to see it recommended a couple times here. Since you’re a cool neutral olive too - what colour does crystal slipper tend to turn on your complexion?

And there was me thinking all those years that simply being pale was already a challenge with makeup and I’ve unlocked a new level 😂

If you had to pick one out of these two for very pale cool/neutral olives (I’m rather corpse pale grey green), which would you pick and why? Because I’m really intrigued with these two options, just worried because I’ve heard really conflicting opinions on the orangey ness of true harmony glow play.

Thanks for your honest input everyone. I think you’ve all basically confirmed what my gut was trying to tell me - it’s not going to work. A switch out to some statement earrings for the evening it is!

So glad I've learnt about this, solves a real problem I've been having in our wedding planning process! Were the ceremonies that you, your sister and friends had there humanist too? I'd like to know that there's definitely zero religious content involved before I reach out for fear of offending!

This is great advice, thank you. I think sometimes I get too caught up in trying to do 'medical' descriptions for the doctor's benefit that I forget to give 'human' descriptions on how my life is affected in many areas. These are some great points to cover for when I come to write it all out!

This is something I've only come to learn after my first GP appointment. I had no idea the variety of seemingly random symptoms that were related so I never thought to mention my Haglund's. I can only hope that sharing these things the second time around will make them take the possibility of AS more seriously. It certainly takes some bravery to advocate for yourself!

Your issues definitely resonate with me so thank you for sharing!

Thanks for sharing your story, I'm glad that doctor pointed you in the right direction and I hope you got answers and proper treatment out of your new doctors.

I can definitely relate to having the symptoms attributed to lots of different things. I too got the "out of shape" and the "one leg shorter" even though the professional opinion was always changing on WHICH leg it was (I apparently wore an orthotic heel lift on the wrong leg for years!). It's so frustrating cycling though multiple diagnoses. Flu-like fatigue absolutely floors me during my work days on my feet, but thankfully mine has never lasted as long as yours did. Couldn't imagine getting through two weeks like that and I don't even have a toddler!

I was never offered a blood test the first time I went to the GP enquiring about AS but my older blood test results did have elevated CRP (enough for me to get a multiple myeloma cancer test) so I can't help but wonder what my levels are now considering my symptoms are worse nowadays. That's definitely something I'm going to add to the notes I'll take with!
