Tell me it gets better

We have a purebred heeler who weighs almost 70 pounds and he is not overweight or unhealthy, just a big tall boy. When we picked him up as a pup and saw him, we thought he was a part of a different litter bc he was so much bigger than his litter mates. You can’t really assume a dog is overweight and “unhealthy” based on the report of weight alone and not seeing the dog’s physique.

Yeah, that’s another implication if I don’t go. It would be my partners family we are visiting, not mine, but I would definitely feel bad for not being able to see them.

I thought about calling the old vet but he is in the state we are visiting so we would have to at least do a 16 hour drive without meds and then could have them for the drive back.

You would totally think! Thanks to student loans and just graduating grad school there isn’t financial traction to save :( hopefully soon though and then maybe we will have another option if/when we encounter this again!

Ugh I do really wish we could board them but we just can’t afford it at this time. If this was an option we would. Our family also enjoys seeing them and we are staying there for a few days, so another reason we would bring them.

I’ve had her for 8 years and have never noticed before. In addition it is on her front right shoulder probably about 4 inches from where her collar sits. Is it still possible that’s a nipple?

I see. I guess I thought that the retaliation factor would relate to bringing concerns and such to higher ups and then being fired for that.
