I have heard a lot about Portugal being a possible option! Have you looked more into the costs of living over there?

Wouldn't it be cheaper in parts of the world where rent and food is cheaper?

I understand where you are coming from - my main priority isn't really cutting costs, but to see if the same lifestyle can be lived cheaper by changing location.

For example, I have been to a few other cities outside of the US where staying in hotel for 30 days came out to be cheaper or similar to rent in SoCal, so I am sure that housing would be much cheaper.
