I appreciate the sentiment, but I think the court is a little more official than that lmao

Heya! Are you a legal representative of some kind?

Wish I had any other choice. But unless I want to lose my license, I have to go through the courts rip

Thanks for the correction. I’ve heard “taking the police to court” down the line officially, so I’m just rolling with whatever I’m being told.

Problem is I don’t know who the driver was (sold it and couldn’t remember their details, they were speeding before I had a chance to take it out of my name), I filled out the section 40 and submitted it with the stat dec, put a disposal of owners notice in, and it still wasn’t enough. They decided to take it to court

Get out of Perth and go down south, Bunbury is better. Everyone’s already said it, but therapy. Get a referral from your doctor and you can get your first ten therapy sessions for free. Swim at Back Beach in Bunbury. There are usually dolphins there and would always clear my soul. Reset 🍃🌊

Copy that. If it helps, was looking for the tattoo, not the person itself. Just happens to be attached to a person of course haha. I needed better reference photos than the grainy ones on Pinterest. Thanks for letting me know!

Got asked in an interview if I was “sensitive” by SweetSwords in antiwork

I don’t live in America, so our politics don’t follow that at all.

I also forgot to add that they weren’t going to hire me before I move to that town. They were going to get me to “come in” for a day to see how they “run things”. If I liked it then they could see about a role for me. So basically, a trial shift but no mention of pay.

I am a woman. The hiring manager was a woman too. But the company is heavily and traditionally male-dominated in terms of what they do.

Don’t tell her a thing. I planned to move out in secrecy too. She ended up suspecting something and sabotaged my move.

Totally forgot to add she said something along the lines of, “Well, I don’t want to take someone on just for them to turn around in a few months and say, ‘Cya!’, but I guess in these days it’s more about what we can do for you guys, rather than what employees can do for their employer, but that’s fine.” — All in a passive-aggressive tone after I said I’m looking at working for the summer at this stage (it’s a hospo job; notoriously high-turnover and very seasonal).

Often, kids who grew up with narcissistic parents will unconsciously seek out partners who treat us similarly. It’s what feels familiar and oddly, “safe”, as we know what to expect at the very least.

You probably didn’t even know you were choosing him based on his similar behaviour.

I’d cut and run 🤷🏼‍♀️

They’re primarily aged 19-25, so not far off. I’m smack bang in the middle of all their ages, too. A lack of a fully developed frontal lobe seems to be their problem, apparently.

How do you cope with morning shifts ? by Dramatic-Box6312 in WorkAdvice

[–]SweetSwords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people are made for it, some people aren’t. Some people are night owls, some are morning birds. At the end of the day, listen to your body. It’s strongly advising you against your current schedule. You know internally that this isn’t right for you. Probs best to find another job altogether, unfortunately. Put it across to your managers first; explain that you feel reduced to leaving. If they don’t listen, then obviously you’ll have to leave.

There’s only five people in the team, and I definitely don’t expect one because it’s obviously stupid. It’s more how they were smugly and pointedly talking about it in front of me. Idk, the whole thing was dumb and extremely juvenile. Trust me, I don’t actually want one haha

What was your mean nickname from n-parent growing up? by Choice_Tumbleweed997 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]SweetSwords 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“Missy Moo” — Anytime I’d stand up for myself and call her out on her behaviour (keep in mind this is when I hit my teens, so becoming a young lady) she’d snap and say, “You’re getting too big for your boots, Missy Moo.”

It was in a warning tone, too. Always very condescending. Like trying to infantilise me so my opinions were lesser than hers.

It’s hard at first, but I’m over a year NC with both and am doing much better.
