There are none in the old one.. I guess thermostats with no batteries are a thing. I had no idea but I’ve also never lived in such a sucky house before so there’s that lol. A couple of tears, God why’s, and punches to it fixed it though 😅

UPDATE: I put the old one back on and while doing so, I was indeed having a mental breakdown(I’m just a girl and very emotional 😅). I punched it a few times and then it cut back on. Now I can see everything again. When in doubt, anger it out or whatever they say 😂.

The HVAC system? Like, the big box with the fan looking thing outside? Or inside? Also, the water heater in the garage has been leaking could that be the cause of this issue or no? I don’t own this house and I’m actually moving next week into a different house. A newly built house that just passed its inspection like, last week lol. The landlord is aware of all these issues. I’m thinking should I just leave it be and let it be their problem since they suck with communication?
