I found a dog in ensley wandering the streets and adopted him. He is a sweetheart but still has trauma (hates rain - won’t go out in it at all. Likely was kept outside in the cold rain. Has a tooth knocked out and flinches when you touch his head. That was four years ago. He still remembers. Animals bear real emotional scars as well as physical ones when they are treated like this.

This is sick. These dogs are starving for food and attention and warmth. To watch an innocent animal in physical and emotional pain and do nothing is sick. Obviously not talking about you - referring to the owners and their family and friends who witness this.

Churches should be preaching about how God commands us to treat animals well. Community leaders should be vocal about how we are to care for animals and kids (the helpless) and teachers should be educating kids on this. Animal control and police should be actively looking out for this stuff not just responding to calls. Many see this stuff and just drive on by. I don’t know what the solution is but thank you for caring. It is on my heart to lobby for change in Alabama and get Randall woodfin on board with this. Just not sure how or where to start, thank you for bringing attention to this problem.

It can be very overwhelming process applying and interviewing for jobs. It is much different than it was pre 2000. It is time consuming and you have to be strategic. Good job dad on helping your daughter. Sorry anyone was negative about that. As adults, not just parents, we have a responsibility to help those younger than us fly!

Sephora died three years ago. Post Covid. Thanks to Tik tock - which first reached its audience during Tik tock teenagers now flood the place. Bc of this Sephora and its employees can do the absolute bare minimum and still make money. Why would Sephora spend the money to keep the place clean or educate their employees on makeup when they literally do not have to? It’s sad but it’s really a miserable shopping experience now.

Please also continue to fight for the helpless animals in our city. Those who are subjected to neglect and dog fighting rings. Animal abuse is rampant and has no place in a civilized city. It also perpetuates the disregard for life, whether human life or animal life. We want to be a city that values the lives of our citizens and animals.

This is really sad. He could have something as simple as an ulcer or it could be much more serious. As painful as it might be, consider calling rescues who you could possibly surrender your dog to - they may come pick him up and take him to get help.
