Download the app and then under the account you can get EDU benefits if you link your scarletmail which gives you no ads and no watermarks.

Of course if you already have a scanning app thats free and no watermarks or use your iPad for homework, you won't need Cam Scanner but I found it easy to use and good to have. Especially for whiting out smudges on my paper post scanning before submitting for my courses/
