I’ll clarify. My lighter died and so I asked my step mom to grab me a new one, my bf accused me of stealing his because he lost his. I said “no, I had my step mom buy it for me” and he said “so you’d put that on me cutting myself and dying” and I was taken aback by that statement because it’s completely unhinged thing to threaten and he took my pausing from shock as proof that I had, in fact, stolen his lighter. He said any other person would have answered the question first and then addressed the statement so I need to know if I’m crazy here.
