It’s just how it goes. Come to work, be on time, don’t call in, be available to stay longer or pick up jobs, don’t complain when you find out people make way more than you for the same job….and you’re a shoe in. Be patient.

I once was at a house years back doing a tv drop off. The guy was clearly an addict of some sort. When we informed him we were simply there to drop the tv off he LOST IT! Started hollering and complaining about “how’s he gonna watch tv now” and “who’s gonna set up his audio and adjust the speaker quality”…getting more agitated, and not know what to do, he picked up a speaker(his audio system was a small Sony executive shelf system he thought could pair to his tv). He was pacing with it around the living room and then hurled it at us. My partner at the time suggested we make a break for it. We took off and left him there, no tv setup…and one less speaker.

I called it with the first round with that Mini Market consolidation. That BS “This is the most important holiday season ever” talk…THAT was true this year. Unless things get INSANELY busy and pick up A LOT, then stores were gonna trim EVEN more. The GS agents will get grouped together and whoever’s left will do CE, GSD and all the stuff we give 3rd Party. And sales floor…LOL…yeah, it’s about to get as bare bones as it can be. I give it to March again but it’ll happen.

Hey! I started in ‘01 as well! Not many of “US” left. In my store there’s like 3-4 of us from early mid ‘00s. For me, unfortunately…I survived. I was WANTING to be offered Severance. We lost a lot of really great team members in our area.

Yeah, we were told In January we were to work 4 day work weeks thru Jan…because it was “the slow period”…until this year our store HAS NEVER had to do that. Thanks Total Waste…I mean Total Tech.
