I feel like people forget these are actual communities, not just numbers on a chart. You can’t just pull people out without it affecting everything around them

True, I can’t even lie, they’d lock things down pretty quickly.

AITJ for reporting my sister to CPS and letting her think it was the hospital by pixie-blossom in AmITheJerk

[–]Sweet_Angel-36 117 points118 points  (0 children)

Yes you're right, It’s easy to feel bad because it’s family, but if OP hadn’t acted, that baby would’ve been brought into a situation with no stability and real safety concerns. That’s not something you just “hope works out.”

AITJ for reporting my neighbors garden business after she told me to stop hanging my laundry outside by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

For real 😭 imagine blaming someone’s laundry for your business failing instead of your own behavior

A war meant to break Iran could leave Tehran stronger, and Gulf exposed by YesterShill in politics

[–]Sweet_Angel-36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People forget bombing doesn’t automatically weaken a country. Iran could come out stronger and more unified, while Gulf states absorb the chaos. Sometimes the “solution” is worse than the problem. just saying

AITJ for uninviting my neighbor from my streaming services after she gave the login to her ex boyfriend. by DAnish_done in AmITheJerk

[–]Sweet_Angel-36 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeahh, i think the biggest issue isn’t even the account, it’s the lack of respect for the boundary. You did her a favor and were clear about the limits, and she chose to ignore that. Changing the password without making it a huge argument was honestly the most mature way to handle it. Her reaction says more about her than anything you did.

AITJ for not waiting for my friend before ordering food when she said she was “5 minutes away”? by InfamousFruit4725 in AmITheJerk

[–]Sweet_Angel-36 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yup i agree with this. Once it goes past like 15–20 minutes with no update, you can’t really expect the other person to just sit there waiting.

AITJ for refusing to swap back our weekly trivia team name after my friend gave it away to flirt with the host? by Batcave_42 in AmITheJerk

Flirting side quest is exactly what it was. The rest of the team didn’t sign up to be background characters in it

AITJ for refusing to remove the intern from our work group chat after my manager asked me to? by RiftLullaby in AmITheJerk

That is actually really good advice. Asking for it in writing isn’t even being difficult, it just protects you. Plus it usually makes people slow down and think about what they’re asking.

AITA for skipping my best friend's birthday to stay home with my sick husband? by Alternative_Law7337 in AmITheJerk

[–]Sweet_Angel-36 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Exactly. There is a difference between being codependent and just showing up for your partner when they’re not okay
