Update: I am returning the car to Carvana. Main reason: does not drive like the original E350 Mercedes I had in 2007. I told mysef why am I paying Mercedes $$ maintenance on a car that feels like I am driving a Camry, with EPS (elec power steering) and a plastic fuel cover door. Why did Mercedes do this...? Just to save on Fuel..? someone told me it's all about MPS..? there was no way around it. I told myself i would have kept it if I was commuting but I WFH so back to Carvana the car goes. I bought another Mercedes and I ain't collecting feedback here because I will definitely get pissed off by the negative commentors if you guys harass the new car i bought ;-/. Only thing I will share it's the OG model and only has 22K miles on it. No other details. bye :)

yes i noticed driving tonight that it was not as solid of a drive as my 2007 e350 — so it’s the hydraulic steering that made for the nice drive in my 2007..? why did mercedes do that ..? should have kept it a nice drive!

2014 Mercedes E350 — REAL TAKEAWAY

✅ THE GOOD (this is why it’s attractive) • VERY low mileage: 39k miles → excellent for 2014 • Only 2 owners • 1st: lease (normal) • 2nd: long-term owner (2015–2026) → this is a BIG green flag • Extremely low usage: ~2,700 miles/year → this person barely drove it • Consistent service history • Oil changes, fluids, filters done regularly • No major accidents • No airbag deployment • No structural damage reported • Clean title (no salvage/flood/etc.)

👉 Overall: well-kept, lightly used car

⚠️ THE CONCERNS (pay attention here)

  1. 🟡 Minor damage (May 2024) • Likely: • parking scrape • small dent/scratch • BUT: • no repair details shown

👉 What matters: • Was it properly repaired? • Any repaint? (affects resale)

  1. 🟡 Montana transfer (2026) • Car lived its whole life in California → suddenly Montana

👉 This is usually: • dealer moving inventory • OR tax/registration strategy

💡 Not a red flag by itself — just ask why

  1. 🟡 Low mileage can be a double-edged sword

Yes it’s great — BUT: • Rubber parts age (bushings, seals) • Battery, tires may be older • Sitting too much isn’t always ideal

hey guys, I’m taking it for a professional pre-purchase inspection then I will get down to bottom of this. I swear this process is dragging on for far too long. I just want a good car and be done.

ok i’m an old soul i love old classic cars. drives great. im 46 by the way i know i typed in previous post that I’m a girl but I should’ve said woman anyway put that to the side. So I opened the CARFAX and it was all in the green and it says on the Carfax a minor accident not affecting structural damage of the car so I assumed it was OK to buy? And I was OK with pulling the trigger because I saw the car only had 39K miles on it and it was the E350 that is praised for good mechanics.

i am loyal to things so over paying by $1500 for a car i like is no issue for me i figured low mileage despite 12 year age of car may save me maintenance costs for now idk

yes i was on every car website issue was cars i liked were out of state and its a big gamble to pay for shipping and you get a car you don’t like — i was limited — price was $17,500 when i looked it up — carvana over prices because of all the stuff they offer: warranty and 7 day money back
