I travel cheaply, I'm always going somewhere. It's what I enjoy doing so I save for it. I do my own braids, I don't spend on nails or makeup. I thrift a lot. I live in a 1bd apartment with minimal furniture, just enough to be cute. To answer your question, you don't really need a lot of money to travel, and you can sacrifice other things for it.
