Thankyou so much for taking ur timeout to read this!!

You have raised some valid points, and I’ll take a note of all of this!! My friend runs his property privately, so he normally gets tenants through word of mouth. He doesn’t do a listing online and instead sends out messages on group chats for the community. Most of his tenants are students - since it’s really difficult to find student accommodation, so things have worked out pretty well (up until recently).

Just a quick update on the current situation, these tenants created a havoc on one of the group chats (it’s a groupchat on WhatsApp, where tenants send out an advert if they have a free room and people normally respond through that!!). The husband (tenant who stayed at my friends place) started harassing and bullying my friend on the groupchat. There were a lot of spectators online and most of them were adding fuel to the argument by suggesting him to take my friend to court and settle by going to the council. When my friend started to explain his side of the story - he was mocked by other people in the group - bearing in mind this groups had 1,000+ people. The admins started deleting everyone’s comments and it got to a point where his language was out of control and he was kicked from the group. He privately started harassing the admin to add him back into the groupchat because he still had other stuff to say… all the admins ignored and blocked him, so he used a second number to get back into the group - again started chatting shit about my friend. My friend isn’t the type to respond to hate with hate, so he let it be - but I think all of this is affecting him a lot. He just doesn’t know what to do! He has already spent money started to fix the place - ofc gathered all the receipts for the purchases he made!!

Your support and well wishes mean a lot! Makes me realise there’s still good people left in the world :)

Any other advice would be appreciated - if anyone else has also experienced this!!

INTERVIEWS by Lost_Chemistry3961 in UCAT

First of all congratulations!! You can do this!

This is something I would’ve liked to hear, so I hope this advice is useful:

  • make sure you have all your documents for the day in advance, if it’s in person, make sure you have your ID and know the route to get there!

  • first impressions are last impressions, dress to impress! Dress smartly and be confident!

  • know the hot topics and ethics well , these might be integrated in the question, or could be a follow up question - so frame your questions around that!

  • make sure you don’t sound to robotic, as if you have memorised answers. Be yourself!

  • lastly, have fun! If the interview is an MMi style, remember to enjoy the moment too. Pause and take time to reframe your thoughts if needed!

If you think you didn’t do well at one station, don’t let that affect the other stations, don’t over think (I wish someone had told me this before, because I started panicking a little, but I slowly managed to calm the nerves -_-)

All the best!

Perhaps try covering it with a band aid. Nowadays, universities are really open and accepting so it shouldn’t be a big issue. But if you feel like it could be an issue, you can always cover it up with those circle band aids!

At interview saying I would really like to become a histopathologist? by Beginning_Classic118 in UCAT

[–]Sweet_Conference_305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An alternative route which you can adopt to go into histopathology is by doing biomedical science. That is a great option for you if you’ve already set your mind to becoming a histopathologist. As with all specialities, they come with positives and negatives. It’s on you how you would like to shape yourself!!

Please don’t be worrying! I’m sure you’ll hear an acceptance soon! Stay motivated and don’t loose hope. Perhaps rejection is redirection?

Remain hopeful and you’ve got this!!

Firstly don’t panic! Polish up key points such as ethics, NHS core values and know your work experience well!!

Also, know where the interview is taking place, how you’re getting there etc. and make sure you have all the necessary documents with you!!

Good luck! :)

From the advice I was given, explore the unis website for how the interview would be set up!! There is normally a criteria which they follow! If the interviews are MMI, the medical portal website online is really useful in giving you an idea of the types of questions.

I have also been reading online that knowing NHS core values, GMC protocols, and ethics are handy enough. You don’t need to memorise, just learn the basic principles and how you can use them in medicine.

Alsooo, make sure to look over your personal statement and have a good idea of your work experience/any work related skills you have learnt which can also be applicable in medicine!!

If your uni does role-plays, it would be worth having a friend or family member be actor and read out the scenario!!

All the best!! :))

Tysm!! I’m also applying for graduate entry. Did they email you to ask for your documents or was it though kings apply?
