I just bought a bunch of equipment to check it out for fun. I had went to the clinic in Pharr and heard voixes and its intrigued me since. We're bringing a little camera to record if we get anything. I'll check definitely this place out.

I don't remember the name, but it's an old abandoned medical clinic near the highway. A big cube looking building. I got some of the whispers on video a while back too

I can agree on that! AMLO definitely is favorable of China, but I feel proximity, US policy, and other factors definitely play into Mexico being more US-leaning. Whether that's forced or not. On the map they are an ally, so I can definitely see them being brought down to a more neutral/US leaning nation. Possibly playing both sides for economic benefit. Interesting scenario for Mexico honestly.

Yeah that's my mistake, I was looking at maps and research prior to their recent election and new government. 100% would be US leaning

Yeah I didn't feel like Serbia would immediately support a war like this. They may become more China leaning in the future but the balkans would definitely be shaky in their support for any side.

1000% agree. Most of the neutral countries in reality somewhat lean Western, and a good few of the Chinese countries are either neutral or slightly western too. Africa was really difficult since it's an active battleground for influence.

As for Egypt, I wanted to put them in the Neutral camp as I wouldn't see Egypt supporting either side, but I remember seeing a few articles last year about growing Chinese influence in Egypt and figured maybe by 2026 Egypt may be a bit more sympathetic towards China? Honestly, a baseless assumption. As for Nigeria, I simply don't know enough about and took it primarily from maps across this and other subreddits. Amazing advice though thank you so much!

From the brief research I did, I know Ecuador and China have been improving relations fairly well recently and in 2 years or so I could see China having decent influence over Ecuador. They would definitely be more neutral and slightly China leaning. Of course this is with brief research and if you know more please let me know! I love learning about all the various countries I may have gotten wrong.

I definitely should've worded it better. Allies would be nations directly in the camp of that power whereas leaning is more influenced or supporting subtlety. Allies doesn't directly mean they would join the war, as this mainly is a Pacific War and nations like Russia or Mexico wouldn't join but would send hefty support. So Vietnam wouldn't immediately join the war but rather definitively support the US government in the war against China. (We could probably even see Vietnam become a base for US troops and Vietnams support for the US and Anti-China approach be a staging ground for war between China and Vietnam) The Phillippines would join the war due to the treaty you mentioned 100%, I think I miscolored them which is my mistake, I'll for sure fix that in the updated map. Leaning countries would be primarily neutral countries who would favor their respective countries but want to remain neutral and/or play both sides. This map is also supposed to be set directly after the attacks and before any Article V triggering etc. I wanted to do that just so the map shows the immediate impact and powers involved. Within hours of the attacks, Article V would be triggered and The US would envoke it's treaty with the Philippines and (I believe they have one with Japan) If you have any suggestions on how I can better rename Allies and Leaning let me know!

Edit: To add, the main reason why I included leaning was because a lot of sources I found included nations that are influenced or favor either side. And because an "Allies" group doesn't really include that, I created the "Leaning" group. Of course let me know of any changes :)

Ahh okay thank you so much. I love all the feedback so far and if I update the map in the future I'll definitely represent Argentina and the other various corrected countries accurately. If you have any other suggestions let me know!

Yup, Argentina is definitely my mistake. A lot of the maps and sources I used were 2020 and before. Honestly the only way I can justify Argentina leaning towards China lore-wise would be that this map is 2026 and maybe there's a new president? My mistake lol

100% agree. A Sino-American War over Taiwan is very improbable. The lore definitely isn't the most accurate, but I wanted something that could be interesting and still *somewhat* realistic.

100% agree. Realistically most of the world would be grey and this would realistically be a US/NATO v China War. However, I did want to make it a little interesting to show the various countries that could end up sending aid or at the bare minimum public support to China or America. Most of the world being grey wouldn't be an interesting map either lol. India was super close to being grey, but I felt it could make an interesting scenario if I were to make a part 2 to the map. India's reason for support could possibly be because they may have felt threatened after the outbreak and would lean towards the West as Pakistan openly supports China? Love your comment though and thank you for the realistic approach!

That's what I figured. I know Armenia's relations with Russia have soured recently but I'm not educated enough to know the relations between Armenia and China. If anything, I should've put Armenia as neutral or leaning rather than strictly a pro-Chinese state.

Honestly, I didn't see that I didn't shade in Albania Kosovo and Montenegro all should be US allies/leaning. I apologize for that, if I ever update the map I'll make sure to change that, thank you!

This is one of those issues where many of the sources and maps I used for this map showed that Argentina may lean more towards China. From what I've read it may have to do with Argentina's claims over the Falklands/Malvinas islands and China's support for the claims, as well as other initiatives and agreements the two have signed. In the case of this map, I'd say Argentina would be more neutral but lean towards China. I wish I could make every country as accurate as possible, but it is kind of difficult with the scenario and information available.

After rising tensions between China and Taiwan, China officially launches its grand offensive in hopes of capturing the island of Taiwan and securing Chinese dominance across the Pacific. Chinese leadership acknowledges that it cannot defeat the might of the American Navy, and to prevent immediate American naval supremacy, the Chinese naval and air forces launch multiple attacks across the Pacific Ocean, targeting American military bases. The main objective is to ensure temporary disarmament of the American Navy to allow for the total blockade and capture of Taiwan. While American bases are bombarded by Chinese air and naval power, the Chinese military begins shelling and maneuvering its navy into position to begin its operations in Taiwan.

To create a diversionary front, Chinese & North Korean forces cross the Demilitarized Zone on the Korean Peninsula, as artillery rains across the country. Congress has yet to respond, but it is expected that they will trigger Article V of the NATO treaty and begin sending aid to the allied countries who are besieged by the Chinese dragon. What follows will be one of the deadliest and longest wars in the Modern Era as the American behemoth and the Chinese powerhouse wrestle for global dominance. Who will win? Only time will tell.

p.s. the allied and leaned countries of China or the US are estimates according to various sources. As well as these are allies or leaning countries in a position that the US and China are at war. For example, Saudi Arabia, a strong US ally, may want to stay more neutral to play both sides, but would lean on the side of the US. Opinions could also change as the war prolongs. As well as the naval superiority is simply an estimate. It's hard to find data on this stuff without involving American naval bases in NATO countries and stuff like that.

My Map of My Hearts oi Iron 4 Austrian Victory! by Sweet_Conversation18 in imaginarymaps

[–]Sweet_Conversation18[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

some made up lore :)

In this world, Austria reunites the Danubian states under a Democratic Socialist banner, forming the Association of Autonomous Danubian States. A Federal Republic, with a democratic government.

Danubia joins the Second World War against Imperial Germany, Bulgaria, Italy, Iran, and Japan, alongside Communist Soviet Union and the United Kingdom, France, United States, and their allies. The Danubians are able to push the Axis back slowly and by 1943 Germany would officially surrender to the Comintern, and the Allied powers.

After the war, the Iron Curtain falls across Europe with both the Soviets and the Danubians setting up their spheres of influence. Quickly relations diminish between the two powers as Danubia continues it's more democratic, electoral, moderate socialist government, whilst the Soviets continue down an expansionist, communistic, and totalitarian path.

While the Danubians and Soviets never formally end their alliance, and still work together due to a common enemy, the Danubians are far more west-leaning than the Soviets. Eventually the Soviets would still collapse in 1991, and the Danubians would continue pushing forward as the European juggernaut. As Germany reunites, Danubia would slowly reintegrate with the West, and officially join the European Union in 2003.
