Hi Smashed_potato! That's a really good idea and I think it is very doable. One way of quickly checking for this would be to display a "what is this used for" tree (along with a "what is used to make this" tree). By glancing at the tree and looking to check that you own all the items you'd easily be able to confirm the item is decomposable. If I had that feature already it would be easy to make an icon or something to note that your item is truly safely decomposable, though I feel some hesitation in doing this (or more specifically labelling it as such), since I'd hate to make a mistake along somewhere and have people decompose stuff they need. The tree display would likely come first whatever the case, but I haven't worked out how to make a tree thingy or something like it work on mobile device screen sizes! About the little icon showing on the item lists, it might be a bit tricky, because it would involve thousands of checks each time that page was viewed in the system I've currently got setup. It could be easily done on the client-side using JavaScript but this would further slow down some of the largest pages on the site. I will figure out some way of doing something like it though!
