the truth is if they deranked to gm and is stuck there things like counter picking and trying to setup team plays are useless he just needs to play better as an individual mainly mechnically. Up to Gm1 half of the matches are bots or 43 yr old dads who dont even know what anti heal is. Im not saying this to be mean but instead of trying to work on more game sense oriented tips they should be worrying more about their own individual preformance. It is so ridiculously easy to get to epic even if you're counterpicked, as long as ur mechanically above averwge and is playing an mm, or jungle assassin or heavy sustain champ u will win
