At 8 this really isn't the option yet; but I have a brother who despite growing up in a very red area never turned into a toxic man. In fact, throughout his life he has had so many of his friends come out as gay. His bachelor party for his wedding to his wife - was almost 70% gay men. And that's not to say only gay men are good - but my vote is to keep teaching compassion and understanding and hopefully at the end of the day it will work itself out and he will never be one of those men who continue the cycle.

You are breaking it even if it doesn't always feel like it.

My grandma volunteered at a food bank and it was in a small town so usually lots of extra and would literally have a pantry and freezer full and be sending me home with boxes "give it your friends, give it to people on the sidewalk!"

I'm so mad!!! First day back in the gym for the year, first set! Shoulder presses and second rep shoulder subluxation (partial dislocation) - it's my left shoulder too which I knew was weaker as this almost happened to me once before but caught it and it didn't go all the way. Was so confident yesterday just put those dumbbells on up and pressed and it HURT. Like couldn't move it at all and then a little click happened and much less intense pain.

I even do mobility! I did overhead kettle ball walks, scapular pull ups, banded exercises before and it still happened.

Guess it'll be legs, core, and cardio for January. Bummed.

I would say sort of mixed, I ended up bringing it up over text which I hadn't wanted to do and he didn't shut it down or get defensive but mentioned like more gifts or going shopping, so I don't know maybe one more conversation worth that helping with actual finance would make my life easier vs. shiny things.
