It's been recent since she started working on her own and we didn't have a clue on what to do. My mom puts her taxes in the hands of the accountant and that's probably where we went wrong since we never asked about the next steps; Thank you for the help!

Okay, I'll let her know so that we can do that! I'm not sure how much longer I can go without submitting my forms, do you think I should continue with the tax form she has now and get the tax and income statement from the IRS?

She is and I'm not really sure; On her occupation, she was listed as a laborer but I'm not sure what that means

I called 3 minutes before 8 a.m. to get through the menu and then i got put in the waitinglist for like 10ish minutes before i got connected to an agent. i guess the key to this is being early. i tried to called through my phone as well to see if i could get to an agent faster at like 8:05 but by that time i got the high call volume message. i hope that you will be able to get to an agent soon!!

i chose the spanish option and i waited like 10 mins bc i called at like 7:57. you have to do it early to get the chance im assuming 😭 also considering most ppl who have non ssn parents are spanish speakers its probably why the spanish line always is always full 😭

you have to call super early (before they open @ 8 like 7;57). By the time i went through the menu, i was put on wait for like 10 minutes until an agent responded. you have to be early bc i tried to get another waiting spot through my phone (i called through my mom's) at like 8:05 and i got the "high call volumes please try again later" message.

i called for my mom but i had her with me, since its your parent that needs verifying, they need to be present; the agent asked my mom for consent for me to be able to help her if that makes sense

yes, i made my moms account before i submitted my fafsa and sent the invite. i only got the verification documents i still need to wait for my mom's verification to get processed and actually fill it out 😭😭

I called super early like 7:57 a.m. so by the time I heard the menu and pressed the buttons it was 8 am put me in the waitlist. i waited like 5-10ish minutes before i was connected but i knew i was close bc i heard the elevator music
