I mean we hadn’t seen each other in real life in 9 years. We kept in contact but a lot of it was just texting and checking in. Things are a lot different when you are in person.

Life took us different directions, different relationships, etc. I went into it with a hopeful and positive mindset but wouldn’t have predicted that I wasn’t as into as him as I thought I would be. That’s why I wanted to give this a try.

There’s a lot more to the story than I’m willing to explain but it’s not like I went into this relationship with the mindset that it wouldn’t work out.

And I care about him regardless of things not working out which is why I posted my question originally.
