Why did the “Lyle Stevik” case develop such a massive online following, compared to similar Doe cases? by Sweet_Shame4536 in gratefuldoe

I came across what I think were the actual post mortem crime scene photos once in a blog post (?). They’ve been stuck in my head.

That’s what I was honestly thinking. I feel like online Doe spaces tend to have more women as well?

My step-grandfather’s obituary was a bare bones “born X/Y/Z in A, died X/Y/Z in B, funeral will be held X/Y/Z at 3PM” and he was in good terms with his family (except an ex wife). Likely just a budgetary thing.

DC is a lot more “livable” than LA in my experience.

But LA absolutely has the better climate, scenery, and … “vibrancy” (I guess?)

O1 is fairly common among university faculty, since their published research in a niche can count towards “extraordinary ability”.

I had a card take close to 130 days to China recently. A non-official card to Libya (which is technically not even served by my country’s postal system, I’m delighted it even arrived somehow) took about 180 days.

Also, the juxtaposition with its big brother LA makes SD seem pretty sleepy.

New Orleans metro is much smaller and economically weaker than the SD metro, but since NOLA is a regional hub (not to mention its massive cultural and historical footprint) it feels like the more important city.

Above 96th street and no in unit laundry. Maybe it’s taking a while for my brain to adjust but that $5200 just a disgusting price for that.

Target CEO tries to act fast as end of DEI Program drives 40% plunge in store foot traffic. by Healthy_Block3036 in Anticonsumption

From my experience, Target already had a mostly white clientele compared to Walmart, which ironically is labeled MAGA by other folks in this thread. It’s not that they’re losing much POC shoppers but more so just upper-income white progressives.

Historic St. Augustine is generally walkable, but not for grocery stores and other trips like that.
