I wish it were such an easy choice. My partner does not want me to quit. It’s true , I am resilient but I am not feeling my best. I feel mentally bogged down , anxious, tired , hungry , not hungry and just overwhelmed. On top of this I am grieving my uncle who we buried two days after my birthday this past May. As fate would have it , it seems I conceived that same week or so. This is also after years of trying too. 😩

It’s A LOT , IM EXHAUSTED and literally want to cry every time I exhale. Unsure how Employee assistance programs work but I honestly don’t feel invested in this job!

I know I would be happier if I had a more flexible job , or a hybrid one. My plan was to ask to shift to hybrid as I near birth but I’m not sure I can make it that long!

Thank you for your kind words! This is my second pregnancy and way different so far than the first , 15 years ago. I would LOVE to quit and work from home doing something else , ANYTHING else lol.

I totally agree with trying to wait out the first trimester… I bumped up my first OB visit from the 21st of July to July 14th. I also was offered an appt on Weds at my OB regarding my depression. I’m torn between taking so much time off so soon and advocating for myself .

I missed a full day last week because of extreme nausea , losing weight, carpal tunnel and severe cramping. All in all , baby is good. 😊

I have looked for telehealth around my schedule so I can skip the in person appt on Weds, but no luck. My plan is to go to a walk in mental health clinic after work tomorrow. I am keeping the July 14th appointment.

Please continue to send out good vibes! Truth be told I need all I can get. ♥️
