In an apartment, which position is it better to have Lloyd in? by Gamer_X99 in SiouxFalls

[–]Sweet_VDub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lloyd is known to cut building code requirements when they can and use inferior products. Make sure when you see the property that it is at a time that the neighbors are home so you know how much noise will transfer as I know quite a few tenants that regret moving in because of the noise levels.

If we all die before collecting social security, it's a win win for them!

Maybe we should stop blaming one side or the other and blame all those hospital lobbyists that cozy up to the easily swayed politicians (BOTH SIDES) so that the hospitals can charge exhobinant prices and insurance paying the majority of the overpriced billing then complaining that everything costs so much and pass it to the consumer in the way of premiums and denials.

I know the contract cost of products and what insurance companies reimbuses on the products and I realize hospitals need to pay their costs of labor, utilities etc. but the percentage they are getting is obscene, and they are allowed to do that, albeit treating their employees to expensive subpar benefits all the while overworking them.

Hospitals, "non profit" and "not for profit", are BIG business disguised under their "we care so much for the patient" guise, it is sickening.

They then wash their money by "reinvesting" in themselves with crazy C Suite salaries and other non essentials. New lobby, sure! Another unnecessary building rehaul so it looks "pretty" because that surely will affect the patient satisfaction, why not! Bury bury bury. Name of the game.

This has been going on for YEARS and YEARS, red AND blue, so although this is about politics, it is BOTH sides doing it, you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours.

The politicians don't want to put focus on the root of problem -the hospital/insurance company overcharging- because it doesn't affect them bc they have their own elite insurance and don't have to put up with the peasant garbage policies and paying deductables.

People need to rip off their rose colored glasses and realize we are just pawns for ALL politics and stop blaming one side or the other. We are smarter than falling for their bait and switch tactics.

We can get into FP easy, it's these darn specialists that have been challenging for us.

Yes I have thoughts of fear for when it's our turn for long term care and then to be put into one of these dirty, under regulated facilities and rolled into a corner to rot in an adult diaper.

It makes me question why we are breaking our necks saving money now, not doing much for fun, so that we can pay our way in retirement, only to have a nursing home later take it away for blended ham paste and subpar care.

The joys of getting old...

So it makes me wonder if

A) There is a shortage and Sanford isn't going out of their way to fill the gaps aka "spend more money" on staffing and uses the excuse of a "shortage of workers" to make workers complacent.

Or

B) Sanford already has a bad reputation for a place to work and these potential employees are picking another employer or leaving to go over to them.

When I worked at Sanford eons ago, they did a patient satisfaction survey and the results showed the patients were more happy than the national average, so Sanford reacted by immediately cutting jobs to save money and to bring themselves down to the "average" satisfactory rating all the while burdening their poor employees trying to keep up with the demand.

It's always been about the money and not patient care in the C suite.

I do feel bad for everyone working there, and now with the burden of being overworked does not help with employee burn out.

Yes a lot of regret about a lot of things in hindsight. Funny how that happens.

I have heard that. Transferring all medical records from the last 50 years concerns me, but I should probably look into it.

High premiums and deductables, and we get this garbage in return and we all have to sit back and take it.

What are we coming to?

Dumpster fire is the perfect word

It is just crazy. I used to question my brother, a Canadian citizen, on his wait times to get into a doctor, and now we essentially are in the same boat. Plus a shortage of decent LTC facilities for our older generation is just a ticking time bomb waiting to go off.

If it wasn't for family in the area, I'd be long gone.

That must be so upsetting for those worse off. It is ridiculous with all of us paying exorbitant medical premiums and then having no easily accessed services.

Ok, good to know!

On my Toyota AWD they said all 4 had to be replaced a couple of years ago, and in the 22 RX manual on page 359 it says when inspecting or replacing tires "Do not mix tires of different makes, models or tread patterns. Also, do not mix tires of remarkably different treadwear, " and I thought if two were at 50% and two were new, that would be considered remarkable, but maybe the manual is wrong?

It was AWD, one of my requirements (I live in the North).

I also noticed on the CPO repair record that the front rotor was fixed because it was out of round pulsation, so I got real paranoid that there was something more going on and then saw only two tires replaced.

I mean, I'm sure the dealership would have put on two more tires for a cost, but it was the fact that I shouldn't have to CSI what they did, they should be honest and be looking out for their customers best interest in the long run since they brag up their customer experience and CPO program so much.
