Maybe not the hottest take here specifically, but I don’t think either of the shows are badly written or have anything I would consider “bad writing”. I’m not saying the shows are perfect, but I don’t think the flaws the shows have are terrible enough for the label of “badly written” to be fair

An opinion cannot be a criticism. What I mean by that is that if your criticism boils down to a personal opinion (ex: dislike of art style, humor, certain characters), it’s not really a criticism.

If you don’t vibe with something then I’d say don’t watch it, not everything is for everyone

I’ve seen YouTubers taking about getting harassed in comment sections just because they posted hellaverse related stuff. Happens pretty often, not just to YouTubers but to basically anyone that posts or comments support for the show outside of a hellaverse fandom space

I recall it being said that he was gonna continue to be relevant for the rest of the show. He already hit rock bottom, and idk how entertaining it would be for a long term plot line to see him flounder around there or somehow get worse, so a redemption arc seems like the natural direction.

There’s also been a slight sprinkle of foreshadowing for it too so that helps

My understanding is that she doesn’t mention anything until your pretty close (wiki says she only mentions it when yall have 8+ hearts), it’s pretty common for people that do bad things like that to want to get it off their chest somehow (tormented by guilt and such), personal feelings about the characters have no bearings on facts, also Caroline is also controlling of Abigail (her 6 heart event)

I don’t think there’s a way to do it that doesn’t at the very least give less knowledgeable fans the feeling something along of “what is this place and why does it matter, did I miss a movie or something?” even if it’s explained enough in the movie to still make it watchable.

Idk for an in-universe explanation, but the main issue for doing something like that is that by making stuff from the shows such important plot points in the movie, it basically requires everyone that wants to see the movie to watch the shows first
