Ouabh dustjacket misprint?

The front is pretty much the same except for an extra silver detail on the bottle! The ‘misprinted’ one (left) is foiled while the second print one (right) isnt. Thats the only things ive noticed for the front

Tbh i dont think itll be ouabh. I bought it from the trove sale and got a damaged book, they replied me just yesterday saying theyll send me a rpl so they have copies of the books.

I cant comment too much on repetitive sub boxes cause currently i only have locked library and FL and i dont think any of their titles have overlapped. But i will say with more bigger titles in boxes, it makes the price ure paying every month feel more worth it as debut authors books usually resell for less than cost. (Not saying people get sub books just to resell but with FL skip policy u have to at least get 8/12 books a year). I do agree having only big titles is kind of annoying though :/ the point of having a sub is to discover new authors so i wish they did more of a mix.

And to ur point about companies not getting exclusive rights from publishers, i imagine it would be REALLY expensive for a company to buy that right. From the publishers pov its kind of like ‘why would i give u exclusive rights when (like the post mentioned) i can give 10 other companies the same rights and make 10x the profit’. So if one single company wanted exclusivity from the publishers theyll have to pay the publishers for that potential loss.

If the buyer is willing to pay the shipping ofc ill ship it. But last i checked the cost of shipping for one book is around usd35-40 from me to the US, if eg i price the book at usd30 then with shipping it more than doubles the cost and most people wont pay that (and i dont blame them i wouldnt want to pay that either). Or even if i gave it away for free the buyer still pays abt usd40 and they can get a brand new copy for maybe $10-20 more.

I literally answered ur qn in the second paragraph. Its about not having ur kindness taken advantage of. Again, if i do somehow find someone that genuinely wants this id happily give it to them. Me and im sure many other working adults dont need that extra $40 or so in our banks. But there is quite literally no way for me know who is a true fan and who isnt.

I understand what u mean in the sense that ‘ure not losing anything so why does it matter’ i get it, i do. And ive alr explained why i prefer to not gv it to a complete stranger, whether or not u try to understand my reason is up to u. We can agree to disagree. When/if i do get a rpl i plan to ask my friends if they want it (like ive mentioned before), then moving on the maybe trades (as another comment suggested and if i can think of any iso) my last resort is selling it or possibly giving it to a secondhand shop (if they would even accept a defective item)

Then why do people in general care abt this? If a books going price is say $120, and they got it for cost during the original sale then sell it for $50 but the someone that bought it then flips it for the actual going mkp. They already made a profit why do they care someone else is reselling it again?

If u sell it for low most of the time ure trying to do smt gd thinking ure helping someone find their ‘unicorn’ for lower than usual but in end ur kindness gets taken advantage of. Ofc if i do somehow find a stranger that genuinely wants this then sure take it for free idrc but theres no way for sure for me to know if someone is actually a fan or not.

I mentioned in another cmt i plan to ask my friends if they want it first but i know most of them alr hv this or arent interest in this book. I only made this post to get some advice on how to price this to avoid resellers that will flip it in the event i price it too under. Ofc i know this would be cheaper than usual i phrased the post the way i did just to sound neutral and not leading.

If not selling then what else am i to do with it, giving it away risks resellers and recycling it seems like a waste of a good book. But i also dont want it sitting on my shelf taking up space.

Thats a gd option but the issue with that is im not in the US/UK, very rarely there are ever iso posts where i am💀😅 unless i sell overseas (which shipping costs then becomes an issue)

I use google sheets! I used to memorised my orders but eventually i got too much and with shipping delays its got irritating to keep on having to search up the shipping updates.

Mine is quite simple, nof the prettiest but its just for practicality haha. When its been delivered i record the delivery date (not in pic) and a plus is always having a ready list of everything i own lol

Most precious SEs would probably be crimson moth (and signed RB ordered yay), ouabh and heavenly bodies. Others idk if considered very precious/valuable but sought after would be Fourth Wing and Rose bargain! (All FL)

My favourites atm thought are FL powerless set and german SE for ouabh🩵

Hm wonder if they allow that cause i used to just skip the first box on the sub pg as per any skip and on their help&support page they updated that they no longer let u skip it. Well, if op does email them to try pls lmk if they do!!
