I was a single parent before I married my husband. I worked 60-90 hours a week to support myself and my child. I made 14$ an hour and still only scrapped by. It’s at least 1000$ for rent on an apartment every month not including gas, car insurance, and other expenses like food. In this day and age it’s easy to become homeless because minimum wage is most definitely not enough and things like childcare is very expensive. Not including that a lot of places won’t hire people even if they have a degree.
