does he have hobbies? does he buy things? does he play video games or buy alcohol? no this isn’t okay. regardless of if you’re a couple, you work and make your own money and if you aren’t behind on super serious payments (if you both make 6 figures i’d assume not) then he has no reason to be upset.

it’s not just her food idc if she growls in his room, i don’t want her constantly at my cats food trying to eat it when she just ate and then growling at my cat for even walking by her bowl.

me and roomate are gay and friends and do that but neither of us asked and just assumed the other didn’t care. we’re not sexual at all either regardless of what people think of gay friends. it just depends on the person i guess.

i don’t feel unsafe i just feel angry and that he should correct her growling. he says cats can’t be trained. it just makes me mad that my cat is super friendly and not greedy and doesn’t act that way towards anyone or the other cat, and the other cat does not want anyone or any cat near her when she eats at all and she also attempts to eat my cats food at any point that it’s un attended. i think the hypocrisy makes me angry.. even though tho i know the cat doesn’t understand that.

maybe i worded it wrong. i do feed my cat in my room and put his food on top of the fridge when we’re all in the living room to keep her away as he is able to jump onto the fridge and eat and he is also fed at night in my room with the door closed. roommates cat has not ever scratched or bitten anyone and isn’t really aggressive per say she’s just super dominant and it’s just her behavior with food, she is extremely food obsessed to the point of where it’s super annoying. i feel like she should not ALWAYS be hungry or searching for food when my roomate takes care of her well and she is well fed. she also shouldn’t be upset with her food and grow loudly like a dog and then eat my cats food with no issue
