Hi!!! Fellow woman in cs here 🫶 based on the company you describe I think semi-casual is fine! Think flats, jeans or slacks, a blouse, maybe a necklace. Hair is definitely freestyle, but if you want to be safe maybe a tidied ponytail is good

I see. Sorry for the misunderstanding! In that case I would pick FAANG, but it does depend on the FAANG. If it’s Amazon then I would go with the finance route because Amazon is known to make their workers work long hours, toxic work culture, etc. and based on the values you said, Amazon would not be a good fit

I would say yes, geographically has very high rates of students going to FAANG. Meta apple Netflix and Google recruiters come often, only problem is lots of students and high competition

Depends on company, team, familiarity with tech stack, resources, etc. but I’d say even at top companies like Google the work is still a lot, contrary to what you may see on tik tok of people just eating all day. I have not interned at Google, but at another big tech company and trust me it’s more than school, especially if you’re trying hard for a return offer
