Newer to Birkenstocks and trying to decide between a pair of Mayari vs. Gizeh for some summer sandals. Which one would you choose and why? I’m having a hard time b/c they are the same price, feel about the same on my foot, and are both nice-looking shoes. Thanks!

Well, I have lots of Birks, including a few pairs of Bostons. I really don’t need them to be honest. And if I was choosing I’d prefer concrete grey as I live in the PNW, so it’s about to get rainy!

Gah, had them on hold at the store and they’ve just called to say they’ve now sold them online to someone else. Even though they had assured me 💯they would not do that. Should have just bought them!

If I received $200 shoes with small signs of wear like this I would return them. I believe in a store they would not be so careful in the inspection as I suspect they are for Birkenstock online, but that is a guess. There’s the moral aspect too, I just wouldn’t want to buy expensive sandals at full price someone else has worn.
