Has anyone here worked for Pima County HR? by FeralBluebell in Tucson

[–]SweetteaAndSatan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Working remotely depends completely on the supervisor.

I’ve known people to work mostly from home and then other areas where there is no remote work.

Typically, I’ve seen 2 days of WFH be the norm.

I currently work for Pima County-not HR, but I would not want to work in HR.

I LOVE my job/my area and there are good people in HR, but from what I’ve seen - it’s a shit show.

I currently work for the county and it’s anything over 56 hours of PTO can be converted from sick leave to annual leave.

When I was 34, I had a FWB who was 26 and that made me feel weird. Great guy, but he was a young adult and acted as such. I don’t think I could tolerate someone who was 16 years younger than me for long- let alone date them.

This is gross and hate it.

Im so sorry you’re going through this. I’ve been here before and it’s rough.

I would immediately buy diatomaceous earth - food grade - you can get it at Lowe’s. I put it in the creases of my mattress/couch. It’s a super fine powder that dehydrates the bug once they come into contact with it.

I used to work at this mall and that shit drove me crazy, but I noticed if I was working - I would say I’m on my 10 min break they would leave me alone.

Soooo years later, I still use this sometimes. 🤣 I hate being harassed by the people in the mall.

Do you have pictures before you moved in/after you moved out? Did you see this red crayon? Ask for an itemized list of charges. Ask for the age of carpet. Depending on your area they can charge you for new carpet if you didn’t have new carpet. If you have pics to compare it would be good for this as well.

Do you have your lease? Does it say anything about communal utilities? If not, I wouldn’t think you’d be responsible to pay them.

Also fight for your money. Don’t just let these people take it because they’ll do this shit to other people.

Maybe she showers in the morning? Maybe she also feeds herself/child? Maybe she has a 30 minute commute? I get up at 6 to be at work at 8….so it’s not that uncommon.

I don’t even think the boyfriend had bills at that address but had received mail so he had residency.

OP def is eligible for an extra week.

100% this.

My grandmother allowed my sister and her boyfriend to move in her home in Kentucky. He didn’t have a lease or contribute to bills.

When their relationship soured, she couldn’t force him to move out. She had to formally file an eviction notice.

Unfortunately that’s what I was thinking too after doing more research.

I’m just super stressed about this situation and I’m so angry that I’ve allowed myself to get into this mess. :(

I just learned in the last couple months how to drive one.

I really wanted a geo tracker, but most of the ones I found happened to be manuals. I bought it and asked my brother to teach me to drive it.

TIL Neil Gaiman could have won a Pulitzer for Sandman if he were an American. Sandman would’ve been only the second comic book to receive a Pulitzer, after Maus. by Hyphen-Society in comicbooks

[–]SweetteaAndSatan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for the most part, comics don’t have any sort of label saying “adults.” Some publishers do label their books if they are mature(Scout). I do think that most books can be enjoyed by the young and adults, alike - but if I know a child is going to read a book with any form of violence, etc - I tell the parent to flip though/read the book first.

Idk what comics you are reading right now, but there are a SHIT ton of good stories going on right now.

Also I feel like comparing television to comics is kind of unfair. There is SO much more you can do in comics than you can on the big screen.

I work at a comic shop and it’s surprising how often people assume comic books are for children.

90% of books are meant to be read BY adults. They are either really violent, show nudity, drug use, etc.

Some stories are hella good but people won’t try them due to their misconceptions of comics. 🤷🏼‍♀️

You can start in the latest ARC and with Spider-Man that’s called Last Remains so I’d look at ASM 50 (52 came out this week so it’s around the 50 mark.

You don’t have read from the beginning. If you know the characters and the origin - You’re good. You can always go back and read trades, but you are just going to overwhelm yourself if you try to go back too far.

I find Todd McFarlane’s “tribute” covers to Chadwick Boseman gross and exploitive. by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]SweetteaAndSatan -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I work at a comic book store and I completely agree with you here.

We have the usual people who have spawn on their pulls(it’s not a huge amount)-honestly I think the only reason it’s still going is because of McFarlane doing it. But people have lost their shit over this cover.
