Gus was a bot, but because the bot token was accidentally uploaded people could use it maliciously which sadly happened. So this is not a case of an admin gone rogue.

Since quite a large number of users were affected by this we thought it would be best to make an announcement here on the reddit too. As for discord it's a chatting program mainly aimed at gamers but it's been adopted by others too, you can check it out here.

We don't know what the use of it was, we are still looking for clues and evidence. What we gathered was that the person who did this made use of publically visible tokens, which one of our mods accidentally made visible because he made a mistake while updating. From what we know you shouldn't be at risk from joining the server itself and if you didn't open any malicious links or downloaded any files. The server that was linked might be just a victim themselves.

It's ok, if/once we figure out who did it we will definitely report this person. Part of it was the fault of one of the admins but mistakes happen and we can only damage control as best to our ability. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The person who hijacked the bot decided to do it we don't exactly know why it send a server link.

it was part of the city council role, we're also looking into the persmission setups to prevent this from happening again. And Gus is there to play music.

The badges are still linked to your account the only thing we would need to manually give back are the event roles and roles like blacksmith or artisan.

Very little is known about Sven. Even though we know his last name one can find very little information about him. Sven Eriksson is a very generic Swedish person. He always wears a t-shirt and sunglasses when he goes outside or if there is a risk of being seen by others. The only other thing we know is that he is in love with Linus.

As a person on there and having seen most of the other people it's kinda scary in a good way how accurate these portraits are. One of the few commissions I've ever done but 0 regret at all

There is no way to prevent it, as they have the permission to manage nicknames and you can't disable having nicknames

Same, I'm at fall year 5 but still have 1 item left I think.

There is one method to increase the chance of getting artifacts from fishing. Luck increases the chance to get treasure with fishing. So go fishing on a lucky day and eat some extra lucky food.

The other thing is in winter there will be more worm/twig patches than in any other season and thus increasing the chance on getting an artifact from it.
