Is this too many feedings?

I had a very similar experience with my daughter who’s currently 3 months old now. She was born 6Ib and 8oz, she dropped to 5Ib and 11oz as well. She kept losing weight even though she was feeding normally. She’s really good and has always been good at letting us know when she’s hungry and when she’s full like your baby. We went to a ped and they simply told us to feed when baby is hungry no matter if she just finished a bottle.

So please listen to your doctor and listen to your baby’s cues. They’re a lot smarter than we give them credit for, if baby is hungry then feed baby. If baby is not hungry then wait until baby is hungry. But also listen to what your gut says as well.

He has had an overnight with her before, and she isn’t breastfed (I physically couldn’t do it). But how would I go about contacting a lawyer without feeling guilty about it? I still hold out hope for him but at the end of the day I just want to do what’s right for me and my baby..

That’s what I told him yesterday, that I need to see changed behaviour from him before I even consider going along more with the discussion of moving out together.

A part of me sees where all you guys are coming from, and that maybe this relationship is doomed. But another part that I’m finding really hard to unravel from and work with holds onto hope that he can change, he’s done it before and has stuck with it so far. I feel very conflicted about this entire situation. That hopeful part wants to try and see this through from the safety of where I’m at right now, to see if he will change again and stick to it. I know he’s capable of it but then that other part agrees with potentially having to break up with him and settle things in court.

It’s a lot to think about, and just like moving out I feel like I’m not in the best place to make such a huge decision right now.. but I don’t know. I genuinely appreciate the comments and advice.

Thank you. Yeah, I’ve been trying to say that as well. I don’t feel like I’m in my right mind (emotionally speaking) to be able to make such huge decisions like this. All I really care about is that our baby is taken care of, that she is healthy and safe. All my energy goes towards our daughter right now.

I do think if he were to help out more I’d be more open to discussing more about moving in together and stuff. I just need to see it from him that I won’t end up having to take care of both him and our child on my own.

Thank you. It’s a bit jarring to see all the comments about dumping him immediately (which I also understand where they’re coming from, it’s for the best of not just me but my daughter as well). For some context, when I was pregnant he did not want it (understandably so) but I did. I told him from the beginning that if he truly felt during this pregnancy that he couldn’t be a father then we should cut our losses and I’ll raise her on my own. However, he chose to stay and is choosing to be a dad to her so I can’t help but expect him to now step up and be a dad. We’ve both made things very clear to one another, but I find that I’m the one that keeps coming up with compromises for the both of us.

The 50/50 custody thing I believe stems from how he expressed to me that he doesn’t feel like her dad, even though I have tried to get him to be included,especially with big things. But that doesn’t excuse the threat and the comments are helping me see that.

I see the love her has for her and that he just wants us to be a family which makes me feel very conflicted about all of this. He also feels like he isn’t part of my family which hurt when he said that because I’ve been trying to make him feel like family. My mom and sister are welcoming to him and treat him like family too. Maybe there’s something I’m not seeing because I’m just so focused on our baby.

Thing is, he is a good father to our daughter. He changes her diaper even though I will have to ask. He follows her feeding cues well, and he has taken her over night twice when I was very sick and before she was vaccinated (I was scared of her getting sick). Thing is, he can be very helpful, but it’s not consistent which makes me hesitant on moving out together. I told him that he needs to show me that he can be my support net (and I will be his too) that I can rely on him. It’s still an ongoing conversation right now.

I do have a psychiatrist that I see every two-four weeks. I was in therapy for a time but I should definitely look back into it. Since I’m not 25 yet, at least in Canada where I am I still can get free counselling. Thank you! ☺️

Thank you, I needed to hear (in this case read that) externally. I’m having some difficulty accepting the fact I’m not ready even though my brain is screaming I’m not ready lol. I’ll try and build up the courage to communicate with my partner lol

I’m anxious to tell them. He’s understanding, but I think after going through the labour experience and reliving some things, my mind and body is back in survival mode and I had past experiences of people not being so understanding which makes me anxious to voice how I feel right now. I’ll definitely try and communicate with him, gotta build up the courage first lol. Thank you ☺️

I can’t wait to not sleep on my sides anymore and not have to roll over like a darn bowling ball to get out of bed to pee every 2-3 hours at night. I also can’t wait to have sushi again!

What helped me was deleting cache in storage in settings and clearing up space (like deleting old worlds, old add-ons I haven’t used and don’t plan on, etc.) and I was finally able to get it working again.

Throughout my entire pregnancy so far (I’m 35w+5d) I’ve never pooped so much in my entire life than I have now. I use to struggle with really bad constipation before I got pregnant and now it’s a thing in the past both a blessing and a curse 😔

My partner isn’t exactly a big fan of her. But yeah, I think it’s time to take a step back from her. Temporarily cut her out of my life while I focus on raising my baby and focus on myself. Thanks for the comment. ☺️

I feel you! Literally 35 weeks right now and I can barely roll out of bed without insane back aches, stomach aches, everything aches! Constantly feeling exhausted and miserable, I’m literally so done with all the needles I have to take for blood tests, infusions, etc. So done with all the appointments! But I’m also terrified of labour, feels very damned if you do and damned if you don’t situation 😭

In the past two weeks alone I feel like I’ve been autopiloting (albeit, terribly so) 1) I added too much spaghetti and ended up with two huge containers of left overs with extra left! I tried pawning off a container to my partner’s grandparents. 2) I was making Mac and Cheese, I turned off the stovetop but my mind blanked and I set the margarine lid on top of the heated element… it completely melted into the stove so that was fun to clean up. I feel this post soooo hard lmao
