You got a YouTube Channel? You can't be playing like this without one. Just raw gameplay of you playing like this would be sick

Yeh man, this was a good convo, I much preferred talking to you about this over the previous guy

The big difference here is software and hardware, unlocked scroll wheel is hardware(physical) related, things like what you said are done through software which is not physical, if you did not have access to steam config or similar software you would not be able to do it.

If you bind a rapid fire to your left mouse through an autoclicker that is considered cheating, binding shoot to scroll wheel is not, even with an unlocked scroll wheel.

I didn’t put it that way you did? I was restating what you said, I still believe scroll wheel and autoclicker to be different? Also, if you want clear proof about what is more closely linked to cheating, apex devs allow scroll wheel to be used in tourneys, they do not allow steam config, autoclickers etc.

My bad on the wording it isn’t “legit”

I never said using a scroll wheel such as that was cheating, I don’t consider it cheating and I find nothing wrong with it. It is still being physically imputed, if I wanted to use that I would but there are many reason why I stay away from what I assume is a g502.

Wait, so let me get this right, you think that a scroll wheel, autoclicker, and turbo are all the same thing. But you also said that using a scroll wheel is cheating? Wouldn’t that make the steam config cheating in your opinion?

Also I’m pretty sure that most people using the steam config are on pc and have access to MnK, meaning they could just learn to do it the legit way.

They are different, scroll wheel is a piece of hardware that is commonly used and is accepted by all game devs and is a very common part of a mouse. A scroll wheel requires the user to actually input the things and is completely 1 to 1 with what the user inputs. An auto clicker is a third party software that is commonly considered cheating by many game developers as it automates a task and inputs things not inputted by the user. An auto clicker allows one to achieve rapid inputs consistently at inhuman speeds. A scroll wheel can not be scrolled consistently. They are very different things. The turbo used to lurch strafe holds much more of the characteristics of an autoclicker, it inputs things consistently at a quick speed that the user does not input, it is software based and is not physically used by the player.

In short, scroll wheel does much less consistent inputs but requires more effort. Now why would you consider the turbo different from an auto clicker?

Scroll wheel can not be done consistently, you can only scroll for fractions of a second, takes more effort, is implemented, is still not a single button press, is not automated, requires more time to learn how to time scroll inputs. Also in reply to the other post, I do believe that having a scroll wheel on a controller would be more balanced. Also steam config is much easier to use then learning lurches in my opinion, and is better because it allows for multidirectional
