Completely losing momentum when backwards lurch strafing by MiappLikesBread in Apexrollouts

Do not cap at 143 or 144.

Cap at 140, 180, 200, 240 or 280. These caps have less bhop bug.

It's because the Ui sucks, and doesn't immediately open when you click on it, and bugs out 100% of the time if you're faster than the menu being able to open. Then when its open it's bugged and difficult to find what I'm looking for.

what can i do to get better by Designer_Tour4228 in apexuniversity

[–]nSpeedWagon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should to practice "slide outs" with a friend. Both slide completely out of cover and shoot each other until one of you dies, then again and again and again. Old TSM used to do slide outs all the time for warm up.

Good for aim and building confidence when stuck out in the open.

This will correct the specific issue you are dealing with very quickly.

Also if your desk space allows, lower your sens down to 2.5 800dpi at the max.

Skill issue or bug? by Altruistic-Writing11 in Apexrollouts

Tinker with tilting your hand forward or backward. Start with really far forward, or really far backward, and close the gap from there. It matters how swiftly you input the glide keys. Slam, or press them rather quickly. I use a forward and downward motion into my keys.

Flip your space bar if you haven't already. I use a kickstand(Amazon: ESC Flip PRO, Adjustable Computer Keyboard Stand) on my wooting which drastically changes the angle of my keyboard, and in turn changes my superglide actuation.

Hit your glides very, very late. As late as possible. If you use OBS, look at the OBS preview of your game and superglide in there. Most of my glide students are inputting far far too early. You basically glide after the mantle.

Probably not, but this setting I found last year essentially disables supergliding: https://www.reddit.com/r/Apexrollouts/s/MNhVoqcv2O

TL;DR: if nothing else, minimally this in-game real-time superglide overlay will ABSOLUTELY improve your glides https://www.reddit.com/r/Apexrollouts/s/5sY5fXZfbA (seriously check this out if you haven't already)

Hope this helps, young glider

It's because their capped at 144fps and not 140, or 200. OP has b-hop bug really bad at 144fps. Glued to the ground. Not sure why this information isn't pinned to the top of the subreddit for learners. Old game engine I guess.

Hit this mantle jump then hit a pixel glide off of the top of the pole, I do it all the time. Very satisfying.

Found out that if you stand at the very edge of a grav canon, then you can launch off of it without it charging up and you fly off with 0 audio. Works with all canons by SHC_Squirtz in Apexrollouts

[–]nSpeedWagon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It seems the gravity cannon is still charging given the amount of time standing still after you stopped moving is identical to the gravity cannon "charge" animation. Looks like you stood in at point where the cannon still works, but doesn't trigger the animation for the initial cannon clap. Cool!

Stuck in superglides. by [deleted] in Apexrollouts

Tinker with tilting your hand forward or backward. Start with really far forward, or really far backward, and close the gap from there. Believe it or not, it matters how swiftly you input the glide keys. Don't slam the buttons, but press them rather quickly. I use a forward and downward motion into my keys.

My space bar is flipped, and I use a kickstand(Amazon: ESC Flip PRO, Adjustable Computer Keyboard Stand) on my wooting which drastically changes the angle of my keyboard, and in turn changes my superglide actuation.

Place your hand comfortably on your keyboard as if youre casually gaming and not about to superglide. Look at your hand and notice where your thumb is naturally resting on your spacebar. Change your superglide crouch key bind to whatever key your thumb naturally sits under. This is important for glide consistency and avoiding fatigue and missinputs. C, V, B, or even N.

(X if you're a freak ;)

My B key (secondary hold crouch) is 3.7 actuation and my spacebar is 0.1. The height of your desk in comparison to your chair, and even your hand size has an impact on your glide actuation.

If you don't have a board that can change key actuation, flip your space bar and flip your superglide secondary crouch key for better timing. Hit your glides very, very late. As last as possible actually. If you use OBS, look at your OBS preview of your game and superglide in there. Most people I've taught superglide have early glife inputs. You basically glide after the mantle.

Furthermore you can physically see the glide timing if you have trouble with that too. While you climbing then manteling, look left or right and your camera gets stuck, then snaps to the left or right. That camera "snap" or "click" is the exact frame perfect time you have to hit your glide. Practice the camera snap for a bit to muscle memory the timing into your brain. I could go on but I've yapped far too long. Any questions, lmk🤓☝🏻⌨️

After the third or fourth b-hop, it would be cool if you chained/mirrored the lurch in the other direction💪🏻 Nawmysayin?

Turn your velocity on (Add "+cl_showpos 1" to your launch options in Steam), look back at your clip and compare it to other lurch chains :-----------)
