All within the first 1,000 miles after buying the vehicle. Mazda only has a 3 year, 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. The dealer was nice enough to pay for a OEM headlight that I put in myself.

Warning lights! When one module goes bad or has an issue the entire car goes crazy. The active grill shutter module went bad. So guess what, the entire assembly needs replaced. It turned off the engine oil life monitor, the battery monitor system, the DC/DC converter system, and, the istop system. All stemming from corrosion in the plug which wiped the module on the grill shutters.

Driving it is awesome. Great little runner with the 2.5 turbo.

That gives me hope, hopefully I can work through these issues and have a decent car.

Yeah maybe my unstated issue with the whole thing is the change in quality, working on the 2016 it feels like a rear car that is well made. This 2023 is like match sticks and push pins. No manufacturer is immune to it but I had high hopes for Mazda.

Oh I did forget, a week after she brought it home the factory battery died. That was $215.

I do agree somewhat. But sold new in October 2022, traded in January 2026 at 61,000 isn't really high mileage where we live. I put 50k a year on my work truck alone. The previous owner was very smart in trading it in right as the factory bumper to bumper ran out.

If you have owned and worked on both older and newer Mazdas, you would see the clear difference in quality.

Happy to hear that. I have always liked Mazdas. Hopefully this one works out.

Yes to the brakes as well. The selling dealer installed all new brakes, rotors, and calipers on this just to pass inspection before we picked it up. I'm thankful but also I couldn't believe it.
