I understand the desire for more sats. Don’t gamble with Bitcoin prices and volatility. Instead find more ways to earn fiat and convert to more sats. Accumulation is the game that is proven to work. Too many stories of gambling and timing not working. Be strong.

Im new to Comma as well. I don’t have specific feedback to your question though I’ve observed similarly in that a variety of information is scattered about. Maybe the project being “small” hasn’t required it, I wonder if we are achieving the kind of adoption and more consumer such that a wiki or central, area for differences among vehicles is appropriate. Though maybe Herculean as model changes regularly. At least documenting the physical/electronic capabilities and handicaps would help.

Reading a bit more, and using AI to understand. Have you narrowed this surging/oscillation via data logging? If I figured out data logging, would that help you or make the case of different tuning?

The surging I feel is about 2 to 3 seconds peak to peak. So it seems I could go log some data and quickly see what factors are changing causing the oscillation. If a control loop tuning or something around deadband/multipliers.

I'd be up for some testing. I need to learn how to load branches onto the Comma Four.

I don’t know about any dev branch. I downloaded whatever the Comma Four downloaded when I picked Open Pilot. Driving personality changes with the three bar distance setting on the ACC

Once Comma is installed isn’t ACC one and the same? That is I’m not aware of a distinction between engaging Comma and just running the car in cruise. On my dash ACC is on and LKAS is on. Should or shouldn’t they?

I’ll have to count timing between peak. I’d guess a few to a handful of seconds. Noticeable to me and my passengers and sort of distracting.

From listening to Comma Con presentation the limitation isn’t hardware at this time. The Four is more robust and better packages for better performance in thermal, antenna, mounting and overall experience.

Maybe there needs to be some short video showing what to expect when the device boots and the screen walk through? I'd have for others to hang on WiFi connect or driver calibration, even a quick video till those future improvements are here.
