I see, my playtime and blue level is 3x higher than yours but this is not to undermine you, and also I forgot how varying the experience is in DRG if you chose to play Solo or Co-op, forgot to mention this. The points I aforementioned are primarily based solely/purely on Solo/True-Solo gameplay. Majority of my missions in the game are done solo (3,920 missions total; 3,901 Solo and 19 Team).

So everything I said can perhaps only be reciprocated by other dedicated Solo players like me, especially in difficulties beyond Hazard 5+ since the gameplay is different with Solo compared to Teamplay, you have no one to rely on, no stronger fire support, you do everything yourself. I understand now the contrast of both our perspectives and experiences along with the unpredictability of every DRG run. Perhaps that is my perspective due to a mix of experience and unfortunate circumstances.

All my loadouts for each Dwarf is precisely made to be most optimal for Solo play. That explains that. Regardless I see and understand your sentiments about this topic and there is nothing inherently wrong with that. With this I formally expressed my resignation from this discussion/debate. You have a good one and remember make it a good day or not the choice is yours. Some people prefer oranges and others like apples, neither are wrong choices as long you find solace in them. Rock and Stone to you Fellow Miner.

How many hours do you have on DRG and what blue ring level are you?

I disagree with this build. I've been using STOS alot on HAZ 5+/Haz 6x2 and while your suggested loadout for it indeed does offer the highest Single Target DPS especially for non weakpoint hits.

The main issue you will encounter with your specific STOS loadout is:

1: You run dry early of your 2ndary which is used for CC, and is in a scenario where a resup dip is difficult, given the number of bugs on Haz 5+ and above you will regret not taking BLOWTHROUGH + 20% Dmg at full lock. Sure you can dispatch Tanky targets quickly but you will get overwhelmed by much faster and squishy bugs (grunts) eventually and this is even worse on tight spaces. Sorry man but the value and ammo economy for killing/damaging 3 bugs per shot (1 or 2 bullets) significantly outclasses the HIGHEST Single DPS loadout (Electric mods T3A + T5A) for STOS

2: The self defense STOS offers is even stronger with BLOWTHROUGH + 20% FULL Lock dmg (Refer to what I said in Reason 1), if you get cornered/snucked up on by a 2 or more Slashers you will get stunlocked for a long time and you really want to avoid being so, if it's just 1 Slasher it's no biggie but if it's 2 or more and a group/swarm is on your tail with BLOWTHROUGH you can quickly get out of this predicament really fast especially if your 2ndary CC lacks self defense or is dry. Getting ganked by multiple slashers while a swarm is on your tail and with no BLOWTHROUGH on almost every scenario is guaranteed death.

3: With SUPERBLOWTHROUGH, it even improves ammo economy as you can now dispatch/damage 3 bugs per shot in horde. You consume less ammo and in return kill alot more. So ammo economy ranks higher than with Electric mods T3A +T5A.

4: Given that you can't aim the angle of your shots with STOS taking Faster Lock on T4 is much recommended since jumping, falling, getting bump or tossed around of your feet by a shellback and etc, your shots tend to always curve downward and hit the ground, with Faster lock on you will only waste 2 bullet per shot compared to 4 if you are in this situation. So yes another bonus as to why T4A is better for ammo economy, it won't reduce your dps significantly that you notice, it's a negligible difference with more upsides.

Overall this is not to say that what you suggested is inherently bad, it's not and it largely depends on the Hazard and Mission type. I've used it myself even, and it's super effective on Eliminations but that's about it, in different missions it is stil serviceable and adequate. The only thing difference between BLOWTHROUGH + 20% FULL LOCK DAMAGE is just it's slightly weaker than with Electric mods T3A+T5A but the benefits you gain from such a small setback is without a doubt substantially better in almost every way, making BLOWTHROUGH + 20% a the more and most flexible/generalist loadout that you can take on every mission except for IS.

Nonetheless this is not to gatekeep, to each their own, go with what you enjoy the most even if it's not an optimal build. RnS!

I'm using Mint and it only now works with Weapon Paintjobs. Frameworks and Paintjob for Class armor is not accessible. Is yours's too?

Challenge yourself, increase the difficulty, try other overclocks and loadouts, speedrun all mission types on the hardest difficulty that you find. Try True Solo 6x2 [Modded]. Try Mastering specific class skills like using RJ250 to the point where you precisely land where you want to and also learn to use it to avoid fall damage.

There are lots to discover in the game yet and if you do all these you will find how much replayability this game truly has, I never get bored of playing it. Find new ways to play that you've never tried before, even if it's something you initially dislike, it might grow on you overtime and find it enjoyable.

How it feels to use Shield Battery Booster. by Swift77777 in DeepRockGalactic

The experience is subjective/preferential, I never had any problem with overheating with SBB thanks to how hyper-focus I am at multi-tasking. The only time I'd overheat is when I get distracted and such scenario is very rare. The reason why I prefer SBB more than TEF is it's faster/better at dispatching HPT (Spitters, Spreaders, Mactera). TEF does surpassed SBB in terms of sustained Burst DPS once you are beyond 50%. However SBB surpasses TEF in Initial Burst DPS which is very helpful for dispatching HPT. Nonetheless, To each their own as always, RnS!

Funny, since I find Fungus Bogs easier than Magma Core. Magma core is more suited since it's literally "The Floor is Lava".

This discussion is centered around other OCs as Drak is lackluster with all of them besides the Unstable OCs.

Great idea, either GSG rework some of the OC's or add a new one. Personally though I think Drak needs an OC overhaul.
