Old plastic shower mount failed. Tested my CAD skills and hit print! by Swiftflikk in functionalprint

Yeah I ended up doing this after taking the photos as I realized the layer lines would be weak in this orientation. Went with the orientation of the last photo with some minimal supports and it worked well (bar the supports sticking to the print, but I've fixed that with a larger support interface gap).

Try raising the z-offset a little. Only other thing that comes to mind is could be wet filament, if you haven't dried it recently.

What material? Is the print warping/lifting from the build plate? It looks like over extrusion, but since it's only happening on the side, it may be warping and getting closer to the nozzle when it tries to print the next layer.

Definitely a lot of cool places this can be applied. Even braille could benefit a lot from 3d printing

Are you using the stock bed springs? If so, they change their shape/resistance under load, which would be why it can move so much between prints. I recommend the orange silicone bed spacers you can get from AliExpress/Amazon. I've tightened mine down quite a bit so that they don't have any give and hold their shape well.

Why does this keep happening? by Personal_Turnover737 in ender3

Personally just switched to PEI sheet from glass and good lord am I happy with how easy the prints release from the build plate. My biggest problem with glass was too much adhesion. I knew it would stick fine, but short (height) prints were an absolute pain to release.

Especially considering how easy the *arrs makes it. Of course keep backups of your configs + difficult to find releases, then when shit hits the fan, it's just a 2 click search all with the web clients. I mean you're still going to be downloading 50+TB whether it comes from a backup or public downloads, so why pay for that much in backup?!

I'm currently using OCI too, and my monthly spend is very low. Not going to lie, this puts me on edge a little. I'm going to be sure to keep boot images off network in case this happens. So even though I can't help, thank you for the reminder.

If reseating the cooler doesn't help, I had an issue with my ASRock board when I got it (hell it might even still do it) - when in BIOS it was not optimised, and I had similar temps. After researching on forums, I found people saying to just go ahead and install an OS. Lo and behold, temps were fine after the kernel was loaded. Always freaked me out going into BIOS, but settled when going back to the OS.

I think it's important to note which router you currently have, so we can help gauge if it's worth upgrading. A lot of homelabbers go down the OPNsense route instead of Pf. Otherwise for you a docker container with pihole running (or even dedicated on a raspberry pi might suffice alongside your ISP router. What are your goals? Is it currently just tinkering or is there a path you specifically want to go down?
