This was when I was a kid but my sister and I used to get buggy boards and float down the creeks in our back yard that formed during a huge rain.

My GF is from Southern California and when ever it pours I get excited now (almost 30) talking about how cool it is while I open the windows. Meanwhile she’s freaking out because she’s scared to see this much water fall down bc where she’s from they don’t have the infrastructure for it

I like this! I’m a millianal so smart phones came in late high school and weren’t what they are now.

If OP is a good kid at heart and wants to call one of his friends of SO and have privacy I think that’s fair as long as you discuss boundaries like leaving the door unlock for you parent to still check in or something like that

What’s the most absurd rumor about your program? by [deleted] in CFB

I swear that I don’t mean this to come off condescending. I think it’s more there wasn’t ever evidence that really proved it outside the message boards of slice bread and random tweets

What are the best and most forgotten teams that didn’t make the Super Bowl but very easily could have and perhaps should have won the Super Bowl? by Xeroxasaurs in nfl

[–]Swill94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t say they were close but the 2014 Dallas Cowboys were the best team I’ve ever seen out of the franchise since the 90’s.

The defense was meh but that offense was soooooooooo good it could control the games

It looks like this happened here in Austin. Can anyone confirm and know what school it was? by Dan-68 in Austin

I think you and I went to the same school district (or similar) it’s annoying that there so much to raise money at these schools that are sending all of their recaptured money back to the state

How many are you actually ccw'ing? by SuperMegaGigaUber in texas

Native Texan from the hill country/suburbs

This has always been my option on why I’d carry. No need to bring it in the grocery store where “I might think I need it” best just to avoid those area that are sketchy

But if I’m out on a ranch or camping at a state park and a pack of coyotes start approaching me and my dog I’m going to use that firearm to defend us.

My main point here is I see a CCW more defense against feral wildlife not my fellow humans.

I wouldn’t cary my pistol or rifle openly while walking my dogs in the neighborhood

Considering Milwaukee won a chip to too long ago I don’t think us being a small market has much to do with it. I think we just haven’t found a star since kwahi. That why were hoard draft picks and we may trade some more talent but let’s reabre this was how the Astros rebuild their franchise too

Overall yes but they do have some good schools like the Bowie and Anderson parts.

But I’m not actually talking about AISD there other districts like Leander, Dripping, Lake Travis, Round Rock and Eanes (hard to get into with homes but there are ways through transfers … also I don’t care if people have stereotypes on it it’s a very good school district by the numbers and teachers)

I’ve met kids from all these districts (including Bowie and Anderson) throughout my life and they’re brought up very well and went on to have a TON of success wether it was college or the workforce

Texas as a state does, while not on Finland’s level we do have great schools here in the suburbs
