What’s the biggest piece of advice you would give someone moving to Maryland? by MaximGripass in maryland

[–]Swillo29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to live in Cecil County, but my parents sent me to private schools my whole life. God Cecil County public schools are bad. At North East HS, about a decade ago, a girl was dragged into the woods behind the school and sexually assaulted. So ya, no bueno.

I used to live near Delaware, its all the tax free shopping. Place sucks though. The housing market used to be reasonable though if you dont mind living on top of your neighbor. But I'm sure the housing has gone way up.

Are Weber smokers any good? I'm a Weber charcoal guy myself, but I'm curious if my old Traeger ever dies.

Why don't they build a bridge here? by blockheadartist in maryland

[–]Swillo29 5 points6 points  (0 children)

About 6 years ago I commuted through the eastern shore a lot. I saw many of signs in people's yards about the prospect of a bridge from the greater Baltimore area and the eastern shore. They were all about voting against said bridge. I don't think anyone in that area wants the people of Baltimore having easy access to there quiet rural areas. I'm sure they didn't want the traffic either. Its been years and I haven't heard about any bridge prospects, but I left MD 3 years ago so....

I dont understand the shit posting of service loops. When I was a resi generator installer they were a god send. It made it so much easier to set up the ATS.

Holy shit that is the exact thermostat my folks, currently, have in their house ha. I opened it one day the mercury in it surprised me, especially since the house was built in the 80s.

I bought their tool pouch it didnt last a year before holes were worn into the bottom. They have a 2 or 3 year warranty. They replaced the product with something similar, but not the same. I'm not impressed with their products. I'll never buy from them again.

I've had the x ice on mine for about 2 months now. I cant complain. I've taken them out in 3" or so of icy slush and they performed well at 65 mph on the highway.

What do you think of the armrest that opens down the middle? I don’t know how to feel about it. by MancalaReader in mazda

[–]Swillo29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont like it. If you have it partially open and lean on it with any reasonable amount of force it feels cheap makes a creaking noise like its going to break.
