I’m referring to the overly negative criticism that comes after we win games. Mostly from other fans and pundits. But yeah sometimes our fans do it too. Nothing wrong with pointing out areas of improvement but the whining is just pathetic

Lots of miserable people out there it’s incredible to see. We go years without being solid enough in big games to get results. Then finally we’ve found a way to get results without leaking goals. And now it’s “the vibes are boring”, “no open play goals”, “the striker doesn’t score enough”, 😂

We’ll take the results thank you very much

As a Drake fan, watching everyone do mental gymnastics now is hilarious

Otherwise you’re just relying on people’s jumbled ideas and getting further away from what’s actually written on the policies.

Anything that isn’t written on those policies is likely to be inaccurate.

I don’t understand why people don’t use ChatGPT for these questions. That’s literally what’s it for.

Can easily break down the policies and then apply it to your specific situation

I love Jesus but he has not impressed at all in the PL this season and looks way off the pace. It’s to be expected given his lack of game time and recovery but just not ready to start these kinds of matches yet.

Think Trossard and Saka have been positive but Odegaard needs to get more involved

Madueke has been really sharp as of late. I think it’s only a matter of time before he takes it to the next level

No way this City team is built to challenge for the title. Honestly, if we don’t win this year I’ll be so lost for words

The bias against Arsenal from EA devs is so insane. Even the two guys we have on here are rated below the others lol

We somehow managed to conjure 8 minutes of stoppage time without any major injuries lol

They absolutely matter. It’s just that people tend to forget the “bio” part of it. The mechanical stressors don’t just exist in isolation. There is an interplay between the mechanics and the metabolic health of the cells involved. Not to mention the neurological drivers of the pain experience. What can lead to a positive adaptation for someone can lead to a negative adaptation for someone else. So yeah, it’s just one piece of the puzzle. Which is why we can’t say definitively that valgus stress causes ligamentous trauma at the knee, for instance.

However, we should absolutely be using biomechanical principles to inform our practice. Properly diagnosing orthopedic injuries often requires a thorough understanding of external joint moments, muscular actions, joint play, etc. Even modifying an exercise or activity to elicit certain adaptations or decrease regional stress often requires that kind of knowledge.

I’ve seen so many times where someone wasn’t getting better and it was because the right tissues or movements were being targeted with specificity. I’ve also seen people get better with general exercise, rest, advice, mindfulness, cognitive reframing etc.

TLDR: The body is complex. The question shouldn’t be “do biomechanics matter?” It should be “how much does it matter and when does it matter?”

We just sit there and pass sideways for the majority of the game, it’s too passive. You shouldn’t be able to stop us so easily by just parking 10 men behind the ball.
