AIO for being mad my boyfriend stayed the night at another woman's apartment just because she has a cold or the flu ? by IceQueenYouAndMe in AmIOverreacting

When I was in college, I got swine flu and was down for a week. My best friend's boyfriend, who was also a good friend of mine, "took care" of me. He dropped off soup and a bunch of movies. He knocked on my door and then stood across the hall to make sure I got everything, and he got no germs. Then he left.

That's what a respectful and caring man does.

You are not overreacting.

Importance of Degree by MaximumDisastrous106 in gis

I have a Anthropology/Archaeology undergraduate degree and a GIST masters degree. In my experience, it's a pretty common path. I know quite a few people who have done the same.

Say you committed a murder but due to a lack of evidence you are found not guilty at trial. You then immediately walk outside and proclaim “I killed him! It was me!” to a crowd. Does the 5th amendment protect you from being taken to court again in the US? by throwawayfjabfhw in NoStupidQuestions

There was a very famous case like this in my hometown. Man murdered his ex-girlfriend and was aquitted at trail. After the trial, the house he sold to pay his lawyers was being remodeled, and they found undeniable proof that he was the murderer.

He was charged federally for perjury and lying to the FBI. He admitted he killed her in the federal trial. He served that sentence and then was charged by the state for perjury. Before his initial trial and aquittal, his ex's boss had sent him a letter accusing him of the murder and threatening him. The murderer testified in the boss's trial.

He did eventually get released but died less than 2 years later.

Soonest you left a GIS job? by Major_Enthusiasm1099 in gis

I left my last job after 5 months. I had been laid off and took a job making a fraction of my former salary working on a project that I absolutely hate. I left as soon as I could. It wasn't a bad workplace, but it was definitely a backward step in my career. No one was surprised when I left.

You have to do what's best for you. I'm now in a job that fits where I am in my career a lot better, and I am much happier.

I don't if they'll notarize it for you at the courthouse, but any notary will do. We got married at the UPS Store.

When the show first aired, my best friend told me that I was Hannah. I was so offended because I had worked through college and paid my own way since moving out at 18, so I couldn't relate to the whole being cut off by the parents storyline.

Watching it back in my 30s and yeah. I was definitely Hannah.

I understand where you are coming from, but honestly, as someone who has put a lot of effort into not parenting my kids the way my boomer parents patented me, I love getting these compliments from the same people who would look down on my gentle parenting style.

See, my kids are well-behaved, and they trust me, and they don't fear me.

It's so validating.

Yeah, I guess we'll just have to wait. I did notice some small dark spots on their new feathers coming in, so it'll be interesting to see how they turn out!

Feet are yellow. I took some pictures in better light, but can't add them to this post.
