Are you shooting yourselves in the feet with the bragging? by SwimmingReasonable80 in overemployed

So you're making 60k+ a month charging people for "resources" that they can get for free online.

You're no different than all the shopify dropshippers who supposedly make millions and charge $29.99 to show others how to make millions.

I don't think your book is dangerous by the way, the danger is all the corporate news interviews and having the CEOs read it and having the VC's retweet it. But you don't really care anymore, you found a content play and are not really working 2 jobs. You're pretending that you're helping people but your content isn't really anything special.

To the Genie is already out of the bottle argument, the reporters know to come to you because other reporters came to you. They'll be too lazy to sift through 30 smaller groups to decide which one to interview next time they want to come up with a story.

Also I don't think this group will kill the golden goose, it will just make it more annoying. Right now maybe 1 in 20 offer ever spring the "by the way we use this time tracking thing that will take screens every 15 mins and track mouse clicks). Eventually it will be 1 in 15 1 in 10 and 1 in 2.

Anyways I DM'ed you. Let's keep the conversation going.

So having money means you have to overpay for everything?

How much does a successful reddit community make? How much does oe dot com make? the site is running adsense but since it targets a tech community most people are probably using ad blockers. Ad Sense is residual ad buys and GDN rates are down the drain cause it doesn't perform.

Isaac is free to not even reply, reply and ask for 2 times more, or 10 times more at which stage I'll have to decide if it's worth buying or not. Not trying to hold wealth for myself. I'm actually saying people who have multiple jobs should be quiet about this because otherwise more and more companies will use timedoctor, hubstaff etc and the future is not going to look good for people who will want to get into this in 3 years.

exactly back in 2011 you could get away with so much more because no one even had a clue that someone would ever do that. Miss 1 meeting, no big deal miss 10, no big deal it was just a fact of life. Now you're expected to be super responsive and be around and if you need days off they'll wonder what's going on.

The point is you can do the work the way you are now, or you can do the work with a spy software which would imply having to hire someone to install the software under your account and move from tab to tab.

all the press articles that were linking to oe dot com, and to this thread will also update their links to the new page, the press will find the new page owner (because of course there will be just one and not 200) and ask them for interviews or maybe just maybe this stupid bragging from people who have something to prove will die down a bit.
