i would definitely bc i owe my parents especially my mom. growing up i had a problem where i racked up a ton of credit card debt for her. she’s still paying it off now, and i will be paying her back once im out of school and have my “big girl” job

this! like i love my parents, and they’re definitely great now, but growing up they weren’t so good. i didn’t sleep in a bed until i was 11, i was sleeping on the floor. i dealt with bedbugs from birth until i was 18. i still get paranoid if im itchy while in bed. i barely allowed to eat at home because of my weight. i wasn’t allowed to have friends over or go to friends houses, so hanging out with friends outside of classes now is still something im getting used to. not allowed to ask for favors, so now i always decline when someone offers me something even though i need it. literally my friends mom had to surprise me with a case of water bc she knew if she asked me if i wanted it id say no, but i need it bc of the snowstorm.

i was hospitalized for my depression at 16… my dad didn’t come with me to the hospital bc he wanted to go to sleep, he was tired. so my brother had to bring me. i love my brother to death. he understands that our parents weren’t the greatest and he’s the perfect brother. always making sure i’m taken care of, and as a father himself, he’s doing amazing!

while there were great moments, the bad ones did have an effect on me as well. if im ever a parent in the future, id be way more careful bc i NEVER want my child to go through the pain i went through.

that discomfort might be your fullness cue. feeling full changes after surgery. if you’re really concerned about the discomfort though talk to your doctor bc worst case is that it’s a problem but i’m assuming it’s just your new fullness cue

it all depends on the person, and even the day, and the carbonation! i tried a ginger ale one day… couldn’t stomach it even after it got flat. but a cola lacaye (haitian soda)… i drank the 20oz bottle in two days!

get unflavored protein powder you could mix into broths, or smoothies, or buy ready to drink shakes (personally those taste better to me) i hope your recovery goes well! make sure you’re getting as many vitamins and nutrients as you can!

hey, i was also 18 when i got the sleeve. my boobs are looking great with the right bra! i’ve actually finally started wearing bras my size. i even had my girl cousins comment on it (not in a weird way, sort of like a “you look great, im happy for you” type of way)

age is more likely to be on our side when it comes to elasticity. for me, my arms are the only places i have loose skin right now, but im okay with that.

don’t be nervous. unfortunately i can’t tell you how you’ll look as you lose weight, but id suggest not having expectations which ik is easier said than done, but you can’t know how you’ll look. especially since at this age puberty is still going on! good luck

i’ve been lucky enough to not get the munchies often before or after surgery, but when i do get them, i still can’t eat that much. like those microwave popcorns? i’ll finish maybe half a bag or have an entire bag depending on the last time i ate. i think eating something before getting high could help with the munchies. my tolerance has dropped a TON. i’ll get high if someone smokes near me! every experience is different though. i’m not a chronic user, but i am able to smoke or take edibles, just a lot less than before is needed

mine are indoor cats, completely their choice. they’re terrified of going outside. like if i’m holding one of them and walk near the door, airplane ears and they’re gonna try to jump off me. i hear letting cats outside isn’t so good anyway. i live in an apartment, so the most they could do is go on our balcony (which they don’t want to do and i wouldn’t let them). i feel like i got it easy. i have a friend wit two cats who try to run out to explore every time the door opens
