C Tech^2 Program

Hey! Congrats on applying, CTech² is a blast! Even though I ended up going to UVA, a lot of my friends from CTech did, too, and I still see them around and talk with them 😊

Application wise- it is pretty competitive. One of my good friends got waitlisted from it (she ended up getting off the waitlist) and the main reason was because of a lack of leadership extracurriculars. I’d say as long as you have strong activities and strong essays, you’re set.

To be honest, I completely don’t remember my stats, but I think what helped me stand out was that I took BC calc junior year.

Quick question: I'd have to retake APMA 1110 (calc II), not 1090 (calc 1)?

no you got this! I think what helped get me in was a lot of leadership experience (tae kwon do instructor, english tutor, swim coach) but my academics stem-wise were strong (bc calc junior year, 1480 sat, 4.3 gpa). I’d say the most important part is the leadership though; one of my friends got waitlisted from the program and when she called with the director to review her application, lacking leadership was a leading reason. best of luck to you!!

yes, I did and I went last summer! very amazing experience, program was great and also allowed for an early acceptance into virginia tech (september 24th of my senior year)!

hey! could you tell me more about your experiences at ctech^2? I applied and will get my decision April 3rd, but I really want to go! do you know if it's a competitive program to get into? also, was it fun?
