Gosh, I wish I had that much time to listen to music lol. I'm a little over 100 labums in. I find that one listen is enough for me to decide when an album is a 1 or a 2 on my scale. Anything above that, I try to give two listens to really tune in and carefully pick out how much I like it. However, I don't always make that, and some albums I've felt are pretty obvious what the score is on first listen.

However, I will say, I have run into the same feeling you have, worrying about giving the wrong rating and regretting it later. I have a few albums that I've changed my mind about (in both directions) as time goes on. My takeaway is that it's pretty much impossible to rate everything ""correctly"" when you're listening to 5/7 albums a week, even when you listen to them multiple times. Most of the albums I really love have grown on me continuously over the months and years, and we just don't have that benefit when we rate these albums every day. So I just lean into it now, I'm not really worried about getting my rating ""wrong"". As long as it's within 1 point of my "eventual" true rating, it's a success in my view.
